Geekvape Zeus - Zero flavor, gurgling when refilling and juice going up
Hi fellows!
I have the TPD version of the Zeus and I’m going mad after several problems I had with it. Right now I’m having zero flavor, gurgling when refilling the tank and juice going up to the drip tip.
I think it’s a dumb idea but to get rid of the gurgling I blowed in the drip tip and got juice leaking through the airflow. I did that before trying to avoid spitbacks and I almost emptied a full tank just blowing air in the drip tip and getting it leaked through the airflow holes. I think you can’t do that with this tank. I got rid of spit backs by pushing the coil higher, as high as I could, in the deck.

PS: I’m new into RBAs so I have no previous experience. I’m also having a hell of a time with the Berserker MTL RDA (juice coming up in the drip tip). My right arm is broken and I only have my left arm/hand. I’m right handed so it’s tricky to build/rewick using only my left hand.

Would be easier if you showed us a pic of your build with and without wick. From the side please, pictures from above the coil aren't helpful.
Gurgling after filling, sounds like not enough wick blocking the wicking channels.
Juice will bypass the wick and flood the deck.
Try pulling some wick up so it lays loosely over and covering the juice channels.
Take care when putting the chimney over the deck, I've noticed it can push the wicking out of place.
For more flavor try closing the air down some, and even try a 510 DT.

Thanks, puffon! Can you tell me if this amount of cotton is enough? I'm cutting it so it barely touches the bottom of the deck.

I use a 3 or 3.5mm coil.
I put my coils in the Zeus a little closer to the deck and your wick could be a bit thicker imo. Hard to tell from the pic but I would try a thicker wick. I clip my coil legs and wick the way Daniel shows here and have not had any issues.
Dual coil version coming??
I like the Zeus just the way it is. If they come out with a dual coil unit then I probably won’t buy one.
So after 18 months of not buying a tank, this morning i ordered a SS Zeus. I usually only MTL and fancied an alternative to DL with. How is this tank with high VG? like 80 VG/20 PG. Also i normally MTL at anywhere between 22 mg and 32 mg nicotine and was wondering a starting point with the Zeus. Is it a big cloud maker like really open. I was thinking maybe 12 mg nicotine. Any help would really be appreciated. Planning on a 6 wrap single SS 316 L 26 GA spaced coil at about 0.50 ohms on a DNA device in TC. Does that sound ok and is the Zeus stable in TC.
It does fine with high vg liquids. I normally run 12mg in mine and was a 24-32mg mtl user in the past. I'm not sure how that coil will be since I always use Clapton wire. I'm sure it'll be fine though. I run two of mine in TC curve mode and they seem to do fine.
