Got myself 2 gems, wooohoooo!!! I made the order and fell asleep after paypal went through with the phone in my hand. I did start thinking, what if my phone died and the power really did go out. I would have gone out to my truck to charge my phone and make the order. It would take an EMP blast to stop me from getting my gem.

Funny you mention that, my power actually went out momentarily a few minutes before I went to bed and reset my alarm clock! I would have been very upset!

i would buy a wae2 yestaerday if a dna40 upgrade was an option...Im sure there are many others who are pretty much committed to TC vaping who would be keen also!
Pm me your email address, I can send you the pics for swapping a dna 40 inside this evening.

Cool. P{robably outside my comfort zone (which is narrow) but it might help me decide whether it is feasible for mew to try. Many thanks! PM in a mo!

Bro bro, let the guy breathe...the GEM hasn't even been out for 2 hours [emoji14]

Well, we are thinking how to do that ... We are afraid that with de DNA cost and the shipping cost ( both ways)plus labor it will be kind of expensive, especially for people that live outside of EU

Yep, I understand that. Maybe a DIY kit incl. the (modified) DNA40 chip, etc., would make more sense. I love seeing "Mark Bugs" every time my WAE II fires up.

That is the idea we were thinking, but even so it is not easy to assembly correct and many will be having problems and still need to send it back to us ... The only valid idea is to find the right guy between our resellers to do that.
Let us ask our resellers...

You're the metal magician, I know you can do it. Especially if I was able to fit a large screen dna 40 inside. The biggest struggle was the down button and the sled blocked a very small component of the board. Used a dremel to notch out the button so that it still reaches the shim perfectly without any play in the button. I also notched out the sled and it barely clears it.

Just drooling over the manual @ http://markbugs.com/GEM+RTA.pdf

They've really covered the bases on this one.

I especially like the inverted coil technique on the 2.5mm tool (my favorite coil size).

Kayfun v4 vs Gem....

Gem is smaller and yet holds more due to the simplified engineering. Simple way to equalize pressure by closing the air flow with a spin, then fill her up and done. If it's all that Q says it is well....definitely looking forward to it.
