Well, I got my Gem in, bit of a learning curve on the deck but I got it. Now I was experimenting with changing from hybrid to 510 mode and I got the 510 stuck(can't get it off for the life of me...gonna finish this tankful and then try...no matter how I try the top unscrews b4 the bottom....I'll get it eventually. Flavor is right on with this but I like this type of build deck so much it made me think of the squape rs advantages of having the ematal so...yes...just pulled the trigger and picked up that but gotta spend more time with my Gem and will report back.

It's a Marksbugs product so, yeah, it rocks big time but it will be my special wae2 hybrid at home on the weekends vape....targeting the squape rs for the ADV out and about, but that's another thread.

Very happy with the Gem and look forward to experimenting.

Now off to watch the Qorax Gem youtube video over and over whilst playing with my Gem.

Peace and Vape On dudes!!

It's Christmas in July folks!!!

Grab it by the knurling of the AFC, remove any beauty ring, then use a towel or other sort of cloth to remove the 510.

Thanks Yozhik...very tough to get leverage there but I'm happy to say I got it using your method. Lovely little device with no tolerance for error but I love it...it's very much like the Chalice in it's need for user/atty precision builds - love it! Now another question comes to mind for anyone who can answer, when will orings be available or are they compatible with other orings? Gotta keep this knowledge base going. The oring in particular that I'm concerned with for replacement purposes is the one around the chimney that the top cap screws into after refills.

If MB gives us the measurements we'll be able to source extras. I really want to know about the AFC rubber stopper thing

Yeah, I'm sure MB or Q will chime in once they get a moment. MB must be a busy guy and Q, too. Producing vids reviewing is a full time job.

Well....this Gem has me all up in a nic coma...see you all later.

Thanks so much to the creator of the Gem...without engineers, I'd still be vaping a 510 ecigalike or the 306...ah, we've come so far.

@mark78 Can you sell extra build decks so that we can have extra builds ready to go? It would be great for the busy/lazy part of us.

I second that request!! One of the main resons I still use my excellent kanger STMs si that I can have a bunch of spare RBA decks wicked and ready to go. Really nice for chucking in new Ti/Ni builds and just plani goofing around. Also great if you are on the move and dont want to take a bunch of building paraphernalia 'just in case'...The GEM is so well set up for this it would be a shame not to do it!!

Please Mark...pretty please..:)

Any ideas how to fix the bottom of my build deck? accidentally smashed it into the pin and now it's bent View attachment 472364
How...did...ummmm

Just use some pliers or something to pinch it down/flat. As long as you can still use it as a guide, the only thing that matters is it's flat for screwing the bases on...I would imagine.

Maybe send Mark an email..."I was hammering my deck in and it must have been off line because...insert pic here...please sell me another deck, and a mallet so I can hammer it in without worrying ;)"

That's correct when the base screws on it doesn't screw all the way down properly, and makes the device look ever so slightly crooked. I'll try needle nose pliers when I get home today. I was very shocked and upset when it happened

Yeah, that's what I figured.

As long as you can flatten it out without affecting the ability to use the notch as a guide, you should be fine. There is some space to work with on the side facing the chamber/chimney, but I think the bases screw right up on to the deck, so it doesn't take much

Ok, we're gonna allow for one more zinger about the destruction, and then we'll all give Kerbz a hug, console him, and help him recover from this terrible tragedy ;)

First build: 29G Kanthal, 6 wraps, 2mm ID, 1.2 ohm. Great flavor, no leaks, just outstanding. 1.2 ohm is a little lower than i usually go with 29G. I think 1.4 ohm with 29G would will be my next build.

I don't have a WAE but this will do just fine for now.
