Thoughts:
Awhile back Gen-X vapor posted they had just released a brand new tobacco blend. After no one posted I offered to review for them in order to get the word out. I asked if the tobacco was extracted to which the answer was yes. About two weeks later I was sent two different liquid. First up is the Private Stash.
Initially there was a strong smell/taste which I believe was alcohol from the extraction (but I may be wrong). This was very off-putting. I left the cap off for a few days to see if it was dissipate. After about a week the bad flavor had evaporated.
The color of the liquid is very dark brown. The flavor is very rich with dark, smokey tastes. If you've ever enjoyed English pipe tobacco you would very much enjoy this. Latakia has an almost campfire smoke aspect which is evident in the flavor. The Turkish tobacco blends in for a well-rounded flavor. There is a slight sweetness which gives the flavor more dimension. The best extracts are those that you can distinguish the real tobacco flavors without reading the description, in which Smokey Joe's does perfectly.
The downside of this vape is actually in the tobacco itself. Any liquid with extracted latakia will not leave an atomizer quickly. Though not a permanent flavor I suggest washing out your atomizer if you are switching between flavors. This is not the fault of Gen-X Vapor but of the tobacco itself. Also, my pregnant wife with her new super nose does not like the smell this gives off while I vape.
For high PG the vapor production is great along with a great throat hit.
Final Thoughts:
There are a few vendors with English pipe tobacco extracts. The difference between Smokey Joe's and the others is that slightest bit of sweetness. The others vendors create a liquid that is somewhat harsh therefore creating a "special occasion" vape rather than an all-day affair. Gen-X has managed to create a great extract that provides a rich, dark, smokey experience I can reach for over and over again. If you loved English pipe tobacco then you're going to love Smokey Joe's Private Stash. 9/10
