That is true mooreted, in fact I had to order a new cone when I switched to the Boge Carto's. My original cone was for 1st edition Riva's and my batteries were SE. I guess I just need to figure out which carto to use, LR or SR 2.0, 2.5 or 3.0 and move to lighter juices and see how that works. I do thank everyone who chimmed here all your answers and comments were helpful.

tj99959, I have tried that little trick and it does work on some of them. However, I have had a few that I just couldn't get a paper clip to push thru. It felt like the little tube had moved and I was hitting metal at the bottom instead of going all the way through and coming out the other end. Thanks for the suggestion.

Yup, the paper clip is hitting a big ole lump of charred juice that has attached it's self to the coil. I use a sewing needle, others use those plastic toothpicks that you get at Wallies, just peck at that lump of juice and break it up.
So what if you ruin a carto or two doing it, you were just going to toss them in the trash anyway. You will save far more than you ruin.
To tell you how well it works, the carto that I am vaping right now has been on my PT since July.

    That's kinda gross, TJ, lol.

Since I've been cleaning mine out w/ very hot microwaved water w/ a syringe- The center hole has stayed extremely open for me.

Also, cleaning the whole area at the battery thread area- keeping those little holes open and lifting the post up, has made a good performance diff for me.

Well just put a new boge carto on last evening. used it for about an hour. made sure the center hole stayed open using a paperclip. after a hour of vaping this morning it is now completely plugged. I pulled the stuffing out and it looks like the center tube thing melted causing the thing to plug up. I could not even get a sewing needle to go through the end after removing it from the carto. Looks like it is goodbye to boge after these six are used up and back to Geniune Joye. Thanks for all the help you all have been. I just don't understand why the center tube would melt like that.

I have used 3.0 ohm Boge's for over 6 months and guess I am fortunate as to have had no clogging nor hard draws at all.....and I use only 100% or 75% VG juice........

When filling I make sure no juice goes in the center hole, and when topping off, again, no juice goes into the center hole....

each carto lasts from 5 to 7 days and still works well, just looses flavor.....never any burnt taste as I keep them wet.....

I am using the Riva so it is close to the Ego. I have tried the 3.0 Boge's, got lot better flavor but still plugged up in less than 24 hours. I do have some old RY4 sitting here that is 100% PG. I will give them one last try with that juice and see if I get the same results as I have. My everyday juice is from either MadVapes or FSUSA and is either a 70 to 30 ratio PG and VG or 50/50 so I will try the 100% PG just to be sure.
