I have a question,
I wonder if anyone knows what is the dark brown residue left on filler (for example the clear dual coil) after some juice? Its not burned filler becuase when i refill and blow the juice cleans some of it and it comes out as dark yellow juice.

Same thing sometimes happens with 510T tanks, i see some of the juice near the exit hole turns brown, and when i take out the tank and blow in 510T it comes out from the battery side as dark yellow juice.

I dont use any dark juices, all my juices are clear or yellow...

Any ideas guys? I wonder maybe its the Nicotine? Like when the cigarette filter turns yellow/dark yellow?

Thanks :vapor:

Im not sure its gunk becuase its all around the air tube, for example in dual coils i see it on the top of the tube (near the mouthpiece, gunk cant go that high) and around the coils, but not on the coils
its not sticky like real gunk, as i said can be cleaned with juice...

maybe its oxidization or maybe its the nicotine, i just hope its not something dangerous LOL

happens more with 100% VG juice

I get the same thing, my darkening/carmelization happens more at the bottom of my Diamonds. After two refills it gets so bad looking that I clean them, I rotate two sets, but it dose not taste bad like burned carts or attys. I doubt that it is dangerous, but I just can't stand the look; I also bought them for their looks. ;)

Fluxomizers? yes i was talking about same issue just with the dual coil diamonds... and 510T
510T like the fluxomizers dont have any filler so its strange

How strong is your liquid? Im almost sure its the nicotine, remember when you smoked the filters was turning brown, so maybe its same with juice when its heated the nicotine turns to brown dark color

I just got the fluxomizers . I filled it like the instructions vaped it some and the whole thing turns brown . The liquid started of clear. Is that what you are talking about. What did I do or what can I do

I know what you are talking about ....& tanks are the worse cuz you can see the juice ...but different juice turns different shades of brown in my experience, so I tend to believe it is probably a reaction between heat (?or maybe oxygen) & some of the flavorings .

..my diy honeysuckle 18 mg(clear) juice barely picks up any color
( so it is NOT the NIC )
..but commercial key lime 18mg (barely yellow) turns DARK brown in a few hours ??
IDK ....maybe it's sweetners ???

i dont notice that in my tanks my diy juice has only ever gotten lighter and turned clear and it seems to only happen under specific conditions involving direct sunlight and perhaps heat exposure...
on the diamonds i get residue on the filler towards the base but i think its a coloring in the juice because its the same color as the juice. perhaps if your getting a darker residue than your almost clear juice i would tend to think the darker color is the juice natural color only very concentrated if that makes sense lol

Well most, if not all, of the brown on the filter of a cigarette should be 'tar'. If you were to burn any plant material and draw it through a filter you should see that same effect. Burnt chlorophyll etc.

What about 'Nicotine stains'? if youll Google it, its a brown residue on skin, teeth and so on

Exactly - the areas affected are in the proximity of the smoke. The teeth obviously should be the worst as the tar (it isn't all captured by the filter) is drawn over them. The first couple pages on nicotine stains and skin suggest the problem is with stains on your hands. This makes sense, second-hand smoke pours over your hands while holding a lit cigarette. It looks to me like nicotine is just a convenient way of saying "tobacco-smoke." *I MAY BE WRONG* Also, it may be that nicotine *also* leaves a brown stain. My point is simply that you're going to get a lot of that brown stain with any plant, not just those containing nicotine

Perhaps it is the nicotine that turns brown in the cartomizers; I just don't want that brown to be equated to the brown that comes from cigarettes because even if nicotine is one of the brown colors it would be only one of many
