Are generic ego batteries OK to use and are there any good ones out there?
Unless you are getting some kind of crazy deal, it is probably just as inexpensive in the long run to get the real things. That being said... I have two eGo twists and they are not the same. One, I purchased from my local B&M and the other from overseas. Both work just fine but one is an imposter ????

I was sold knock off ego's in my starter kit and they sucked. I paid wy to much or the kit but had no clue and relied on the so called experts( rip off artists) at the local shop I bought them from Synergy. They replace the first two. Then replaced another that went bad in a week and today the last one finally quit. So in 1 month time I had 5 batteries go bad. I should go back and ..... them out but I chalk it up to me being dumb and not researching like you are now. Live, learn and move on. Sad for them they will never get my bussiness or anyone I know and I spend a ton -- lol

The two KGO batteries that I got in a kit from hoosierecig.com have been fine. Of course, it hasn't quite been two months for me yet. The only place I know of to just get the battery (not in a kit) is elitevaporworks.com. That being said, I did break down and get a Vision Spinner to be prepared for a battery death. Not sure if KGO counts as generic, but they've worked fine for me.
