hey huys, i need some help i actually just got a Rsst yesterday, im a novice and just started with mech modding and rba's, my first build was good up until the hit. it seems that the hit is too hard and the vapor production wasnt as thick as I wanted, now could it be that i need to drill another hole on the drip shield/cover? (theres already one hole) to get better vape production? and is my juice strength (12 mg nicotine, medium) just to high nicotine level that's causing me to cough? pls need help!!

Unless you get a nasty / metallic taste the harsh hit could be the nicotine level. I know that when I hit 12mg [im at 6mg now] I cough too. You do not need to drill another, i mean, you can, but you can also just enlarge the one that is already there. That should help with vapor production vs how hard you have to draw and may even help with the throat hit since you will get in more air.

Without knowing full detail such as wick type, method of setting up wick, and coil specs we cannot accurately guess why it's hitting the way it is. The RSST is a great RBA, it just needs to be setup properly].

1. What's the resistance of the coil?
2. What are you using for a wick?
3. If using stainless steel mesh for wick, did you torch your wick before you rolled it?
4. What type of wire are you using?
5. What's the PG/VG ratio of your juice?
6. What mod do you have it on?
7. What is your voltage/power setting (if using a VV or VW device)?

I got my RSST in the mail on Monday, played with it this morning. I set it up using #400 stainless steel mesh and 32 gauge Kanthal. Final resistance came out to 1.9 ohms (I'm not in a hurry to go to sub-ohm vaping yet) and at 7 watts (about 3.6 volts if math serves me) it's actually vaping quite nicely. I'm actually using a juice that didn't give me much of a throat hit in a LR cartomizer, and it's definitely packing more punch now.

RSST is an awesome genesis rba. there are aftermarket upgrades available: silver plated brass center post by ninja mods and a chamber reducer by jb steamworks and another version by fusionsmods. i dont have either one but i will eventually get them. rsst is a great vape and i know these upgrades would make it even better!!

Try adjusting the air hole position on the cap. If the air hole is aligned with the wick, it will feel cool (No throat hit) and produce more vapor. Push the air hole away from wick, and you'll get more heat and less vapor. Play around by moving it very slightly to find the spot you want (Or just jack with it constantly).

After a rebuild with ss mesh, how many fills on average before the next rebuild?
What I found was the 1st tank lacked taste, 2nd tank was awesome! The 3rd tank, wicking is slow! With 4.2v fresh battery I get dry hits. 3.8 to 3.7 is awesome! Although, it does not drip when tilting. Stays somewhat on the dry side.

^^I'd go with the AGI over AGA's

^Once the wick gets gunked up or the coil pops, change it.. there really isn't a set time, even with the same liquid. Your wick will never be exactly the same. I'd try removing the screw for the fill hole to allow more air flow, see if the wick is too loose or too tightly rolled, and/or make sure your coil isn't too tight on the wick.

Got my first RSST today, first shot at a RBA. Measured it out to .8-.9 ohm's, it hits lovely. The only downside I can think of is that the air hole is pretty small, nothing that a drill bit can't take care of.

Make sure not to go too big like I did too much will ruin it. They are reduced caps they will increase flavor on RBAs makes a big difference .
