Just started on a Genesis W/ Mesh Wick and I'm at the verge of giving up...

I had some bunk tasting coils when I started out as well. But after some trial and error I realized it was just the learning curve of rebuildables. Now, I'm completely sold on them. Nothing compares to a well-built coil in my opinion, be it a silica wrap in a pene or an ss mesh wrap in a geni. I just can't go back to cartos/clearos except for emergency back-up now.

Looks like there are more and more people turning to rba's (which I think is great).
Remember to clean out your 'new' devices when they arrive. Sometimes the manufacturers of these devices do not have the spotless and there maybe something funky left behind (I have experience this is some of the clones models).
Best advice has already been given - wash your mesh; torch the mesh only lightly (helps with the rolling); wask, torch your kanthal and you should be in pretty good shape.
9 times out of 10 - if you taste something weird in your rba, this is usually cause by your setup in coil & wick.

Couldn't agree more. I'm about to purchase the Terminator-C (Newest Oddy clone) just cause I'm so damn curious to how it will compare to my RSST. Also, anyone out there know the best way to polish brushed stainless steel? I want to have that polished look on my Mod and Geni's the way Imeo has it on his GG's.

I have something like this:

But I want it to look like this:

I have almost giving up using ss mesh but using a good torch made all the difference in the world. I torch mine thoroughly many times over and then juice it a few times and let it burn down holding or bracing in an upright position. I torch and ejuice the wire too. It all helps build oxidation and a smoother taste.

I was using a cheap torch (it took 10x"s longer) and I was always getting the burn harsh taste using 32 gauge kanthal.
Now like others, I pulse the wick with short burst until I get my 3/4 wrap glowing using 28gauge kanthal.

They say that you have to also cut your nic content down by as much as half because it vapes very pure and strong with no fillers to buffer it. Like a analog cig without the filter if you were used to using filtered cigs. I get a nicotine rush if I try to vape like I do with cartos or silica wicking. But it is smooth and clean tasting finally. I'm cutting my nic level down when I use ss mesh from now on. 24mg nic seems like double the amount using ss mesh. I have to put my gear down and take a break.

You may want to try this method.
I also used the cotton fiber strand method, wrapping the threads around the ss mesh. No hot spots and you get a dense buffered clean taste. Less break in period. I followed RippT's method and it did help me hang in there. You have to change the cotton thread wraps once a week but it's worth it if you don't want to go thru the break in period and a tank of ejuice with harsh hits.

The torch I just started using is the Iwatani $24/25,
Amazon.com: Iwatani Torch Burner Professional #Cb-tc-pro: Kitchen & Dining
This torch blows hard and fast like a pro touch.
I have fun torching everything. Great strudy control shut off knob w/ trigger igniter.
I also use Gasone butane fuel canisters. $2 a pop at my local Asian Market.

So,Hallelujah, I finally won the battle!
Hang in there, you can too!

Polishing cloth. Amazon or eBay both have it. A quick wipe and the whole thing shines. I have the drawtube pictured above and it shines like a friggin mirror.

Ok...for lack of a better way to explain this (No pun intended and I welcome the jokes :smokie:) So here goes...

When I go to take a pull off my RSST it seems very loose when I suck to pull the smoke in and don't get the amount of vapor I want. I don't know if this is what they describe as an "Airy draw" but I want to be able to suck on it longer :pervy: to get more vapor out of it if that makes any sense. I get good vapor but I feel like I max out (suck capacity wise) pretty fast. whew  So if anyone has any clue to what I'm talking about and can ahem guide me to the solution that would be great!

With every ounce of my body and soul trying to refrain from impulsively buying the Terminator C (Oddy clone) and after staring at Stormy Vapor Cellar's page for hours....I pulled the trigger and purchased one [May the Power of Geni's compell me :nun:] I am dying with curiosity to see the difference for myself. Best case scenario it's just as good and I'll have 2 options. I'll update you guys once I get it next week with my thoughts and feelings of it compared to the genie...if you guys care lol
