I know it's a genesis style, i was told from the vendor that it is from China, it holds about 3 mL of juice. The center lead does have a screw mechanism which i have to twist down to capture the top coil and the other lead has no twist action to it, no place for a screw or allen key, so i just hooked the kanthal around the bottom of it (there is only a small space anyway so it catches the wire decently). I haven't seen anything like this on the web or any of the youtube videos (all have phillips screws or leads with allen key sockets). also it seems damn-near impossible to take apart (it came built), no screws, no threading on the top and bottom pieces. It did perform decently for a few minutes before I had the issue with hot spots and shorting. eventually i got frustrated and took the wire off and tried using the wire from my old vivi nova head to recoil, and it worked for a second then kept shorting. I am confident that when i get some fresh kanthal and maybe use the cotton/cigarette paper method under the coils it'll work fine as the hotspots will hopefully be gone. Also, I was given this as a promotional item from a vendor at NYVapefest. Has anyone seen this before?

i received something similar recently. i'm guessing it was a cobra clone (it came in a black box with big gold lettering, 'COBRA'). i haven't tried it though - the tank came dirty and the wick and coils rusty. i've disassembled it and torched the wick and coils. it's 'steeping' =D

mine has a silver top cap though, so it's probably a different version, or just a different make altogether. Will try to upload a few pics when i'm home.

I was given one a while back...

It's a really bad attempt at a Zen clone. Ryno offered 'em in a co-op not too long ago. I think they sold for like $11 ea. The ground post unscrews to capture the wire, you just need to use hemostats or needlenose pliers. Since the center post is so short (and your wick has to be as well) you need to keep your coils close together. Set it up right & it'll vape just fine. You might want to drill out the tiny opening at the top of the bell for a better draw. It, IMO, ought to be at least the same size as the inside diameter of your driptip.

Thanks guys! CountSmackula, yes we got the same one - Ryno was giving em out for free at NYVapefest. He was literally trying to get rid of them because and told everyone to "vape at your own discretion." I dont have access to a drill, but i do have kanthal coming in later today, i got some 500 mesh in yesterday as well. I'll try and just rewrap the wick that came with it and see how it goes. Im going to use the cotton because i am doing this on my vision spinner and the multimeter i ordered might take a week to get in the mail and i cant wait that long, obviously. I'll update when I get this knock off Zen clone working, hopefully i dont ruin my battery in this process. I know how it is common knowledge to check the resistance of the coil you make before firing it, but i'm not waiting 7-10 days. :2cool:
