So I bought my geni tank with my evod ego battery and used them together from the get go for about a month now. Last week I dropped my vape and couldn't vape it after that. I went home and changed my coil and it worked for about two hours and the same thing happened. No vape. My original tank that came with the battery still works just fine. So I changed the coil again and used my buddies battery and it worked until I put the tank back on my battery and then the tank stoped working again. Any suggestions?

Center pin on the ego pushed in slightly so it's not making good contact? If you try to pry it up with a tool make sure the battery is OFF first.

Welcome to ECF. :) Good luck fixing it.

That center pin there-

If it got a good hit when dropped, the pin can move slightly. May work with one tank and not another due to the threads on one tank being different than another. Work safe if you mess with it. :toast:

I tried that a few times and didn't fix anything. Me and my buddies are stumped and I didn't find anything on a similar problem so I thought I'd make a post about it. The coil in the geni tank are dual coil 1.5 ohms and in my evod tank is 2.5 ohms. That wouldn't have anything to do with it would it? Maybe dropping it did something to my voltage?

so with the Genitank, the coil doesn’t actually touch the battery pin
the coil contacts inside the base air flow control (afc), then the OTHER side
of the afc touches the battery pin, I would remove everything (base/coil)
and have a good look inside the afc pin location... (inside & out)

I'm gonna guess the two sides of the afc pin got compressed together
and need separated ? ?

I’ve recently read threads where people were having issues with
pins & insulators in the geni base…

I would think either your battery is 'putting out' or not
so I don't think your issue is related to 1.5Ω - 2.5Ω
