Must leave tank unscrewed slightly to work...help

Ok so I'm using a fairly new (2 week old) Kangertech T3S tank on a brand new Kangertech EVOD-C battery... When the tank is screwed on completely, the battery flashes and there is no connection. When i unscrew it about half a turn, it works. The battery is charged, the tank is mostly full, everything else is screwed on tightly.. I can't figure it out. I assumed it was a tank problem but my tank works perfectly on my boyfriend's Itazte battery. And his identical tank works perfectly on my battery. It seems to be the combination of my tank and my battery Please help.. thank you

Something is shorting out when you tighten it all the way down. There is a small rubber grommet that is in place to insulate the coil from the sides of atomizer housing and also to hold it in place. You can see this grommet peaking out at the bottom of the replaceable head...heald in by the small metal pin that contacts your battery.

This is where the coil leads are trimmed flush with the sides of the housing so they don't stick out and create the exact problem you're having. When you tighten that down, the rubber grommet is squeezing the apparently badly trimmed lead and making it protrude out and touch, ever so slightly, the inside of your 510 connection threads.

My advice...inspect the replaceable head for protruding leads at the thin white grommet at the bottom and trim them off as closely as possible with nail clippers. Or simply replace the head with another.

Great advice.

It could also be the bottom of the clearomizer sticks out a little too far and when screwed in all the way to the top of the battery, it's mashing down the center pin of the battery which is causing a short in the battery.

As others have mentioned, give everything a really good clean, make sure everything is snug tight inside the clearo. If you want to mess with it, check the ends of the coil wires as Tim mentioned and see if you can adjust the base of the coil head inside the clearomizer upwards a little.

You could try to use it with an adapter screwed in to the battery.
