Another update: the problem i was having was my SS rope wasnt oxidized and my mesh sleeve too needed another torch blast,im finally getting there, just wish it has an insulated wick hole.I also did 3 wraps instead of 4,this make sit easy to eliminate hot spots, now this tank is ROCKING.

I received my second Kraken today, and promptly set it up with the included ss cable. I didn't torch the cable. I just ran it through my ultrasonic cleaner for a few minutes. Wrapped a small piece of mesh at the top of the cable, under the coil area. 4 wraps of 28g kanthal. Came out to .8 ohms. The Kraken is sweet!

Just pulse the life out of it once you get the whole coil glowing. Unless you are in an o2 free environment, you'll be all set.

All that torching that many of us used to do when we first started building gennys is a waste of time and counterproductive. Just wrap the coil and pulse it until everything glows evenly.
