The part of Canada that doesn't get enuf Snow :(
Darrel, my issue came about long before this. I wanted to transfer money from PayPal into my banking account from a refund from that nic supplier that had so much trouble with quality control on the nic levels(name eludes me now?). So I think its an ongoing problem that we'd best remain aware of.

Oh ok I don't usually see those kinda things. But noticed this one. I did send them this email though. Doubt they will come visit me.

Could you please send a representative to come see me in person please I don't send that sort of info via email or mail for that matter. But if someone would be so kind as to come see me in person I'd be happy to sort this out..

Thank you Darrel

If anything, I think it's a problem related to PayPal. I find it rather interesting that I received the bogus email right after I asked for PayPal verification. I think you did too. Hmmmmmmm.

Hey, now that I knew how it worked, I just got verified too. So, how do I become a verified ECF member--that is, do I now fill out the verification form all over again?

Yes I had to refill out the verification form here then wait for it to reply.

Thanks Wayne but it sounds like you need to either buy or sell something to/from the person who is vouching for you.The only 3 people that I have done so are vendors - our Rob and Randy of RTD and Don of BWB.

It doesn't say that the person that is vouching for you has done business with you. They just want verified people to vouch for your character and trustworthiness. I would do that for you.

I'm a relatively new member here & I joined to learn about e-cigs & vaping in general. I looked into getting verified yesterday & learned of the PayPal connection. Having purchased lots of stuff on the net I acquired an unverified PayPal account incidentally in relation to some of my purchases. When I found that in order to get verified here I needed a verified PayPal account, all my security antennae went on full alert. More so when I read that making verification a requirement for all members was being considered. I'm sure that I owe jOker an apology because I went into full rant mode speaking on linking bank accounts to PayPal. Anyway, I would just like to urge anyone considering linking their bank accounts to PayPal to do some research on PayPal first!

I got verified through the PayPal method. I confess it kind of stuck in my craw doing it.
In the pre-REO days, I primarily dealt with little back-room mod builders and suppliers who relied on PayPal as a means of getting paid but lived in constant fear of PayPal because of PayPal's zeal for freezing the accounts of anyone obviously or even apparently marketing e-cig supplies.
You felt like you were doing a dope deal when you ordered. A mod-maker would usually tell you to refrain from mentioning e-cigs, mods, juice, atomizers, cartridges, etc in the process of ordering. Frequently I was asked to remit my payment marked "gift". When it finally arrived at my door, I breathed a sigh of relief.
That was yesterday.
Today, PayPal is the corporate entity which verifies us as financially worthy of being members of the largest E-cig forum yet in existence.
I guess they know which side their bread is buttered on. How many new verified PayPal members in the last 10 days from ECF? Certainly hundreds, maybe thousands--I don't know. How convenient is that for PayPal? Quite a turnabout and ironic to say the least. JMO
