..."Why do I have to post 5 times in the New Members forum blah blah blah".

I'm sorry if what I'm about to say offends anyone (and it is not directed at anybody in particular), but is it really so difficult to have an actual conversation with other like minded people instead of a) spamming for your post count or b) incessantly whinging about the initial restrcitions for new members (which is, as far as I'm concerned, tantamount to spamming)?

To be perfectly honest, I wish I'd made better use of my ability to post new new threads in the New Members forum whilst my post count was below 100. Questions often get answered a lot quicker there than they do languishing in a sub-forum - it should be considered a privelage, not a restriction!

And yes - I did get out of bed on the wrong side of bed this morning!

Go have some more coffee hon...

This has gone on since the beginning...people don't read the stickies...

Kind of like...Oh, I don't need the directions to put this together...sure, you can eventually get it together, but the directions would have made it so much easier

What do you want too know?

Nothing, my dear fellow - was just blowing off steam due to "improper technique" when getting out of bed this morning!

Thanks, progg - I haven't actually posted in that particular forum yet but I often end up there!

I woke up on the wrong side of the floor once. Won't go into details but a bottle of SoCo played a central role.

I wonder how you could reverse that particular situation?! Perhaps Rob will have a suggestion...! :D

I never even considered the possibility that the situation could be reversible! :D

It isn't. Alas, the proposed cure doesn't work.

Nonetheless... you bring up a good point. If they spent 1/2 the effort it took to be critical on just saying "Welcome to ECF, I'm new too" they could have accomplished something. Made other people's day better. But no.

I suppose there's value in the "bump in the road" people. They claim that all their protesting makes change and heightens awareness. They should pick their battles more wisely though...since ECF hasn't changed to a "post anywhere right away" approach yet, no matter how much they complain.
