So i'll give you as much info as I can as to what my build is. I have a fogger v4 dual coil build. So I use 26 gauge (I think) kanthal wire with 7 wraps each, 4.1WH battery and cotton wicks. I'm not sure what my ohm is as I dont have an ohm meter. The hit is not bad but just a hint of harshness which I want to get rid of. Should I use more coils and get more resistance or use less coils?

Might want to check your airflow? Or what kind of juice you are using. Harshness shouldn't have much to do with the coil itself. you want your airflow even with or just below your coil. as far as juice.. Low nic And high vg?

Using 50/50 vg/pg with 18mg nic (Mt Baker ejuice). So the closer my coils are to the airflow holes under them the better?

Try a higher vg juice snd lower nic like a 9 or 6 mg. when i went from an ego set up to an advanced setup i had to cut my nic level in half. Should always use an ohm meter when building your own coils. You can get one for like 10 or 15 bucks that works just fine. If anything youll hsve a handy deck to build with your atty on it, or store a spare atty on, and it will help you get consistant eith building to resistances you want. It will also allow you to dial in what resistance works for you and your combination of gear and liquid.

Yeah I should put an order in for one, I went to basically one of two places in Melbourne, Aus, that sells ecig stuff but they were out of stock...

Literally, you are playing with fire. These batteries can explode if you make a bad coil.

There are so many variables in building a dual-coil for a tank, none of which you have any ability to measure or change, that I doubt you will have any luck making a good build.

Your first step is to get yourself a regulated mod. It doesn't have to be horribly expensive. That will allow you to measure the resistance of your coils and explore how the build behaves with different voltages and air flows. Until you understand those, you will be working blindfold.

Hi and welcome,

So i'll give you as much info as I can as to what my build is.
Please tell us what mod, battery and juice you are using.

I'm not sure what my ohm is as I dont have an ohm meter. THEN YOU SHOULD NOT BE BUILDING COILS! The hit is not bad but just a hint of harshness which I want to get rid of. Should I use more coils and get more resistance or use less coils?

BE SAFER!
