Ok so I took a brake from vaping due to being pregnant, I was not sure of the side effects of vaping wile pregnant so I stuck with the devil I know. My daughter is fine .
So I recently bought a cig2o and vape on that but my ego-t is just waiting to be used again gotta clean my tank real good . My thing is I feel like I'm suckling on a marker in public with my ego but the cig2o feels a lot like normal . So I brought out my juices and I'm going to fill the little carto with them, and give vaping a wirl once more .
It sucks being a heavy smoker the transition to vapeing is hard any tips ?

Yes, for some of us it is very difficult to switch over but we stuck with it. Finding the right gear, juice and nicotine level helps a lot. As far as I can tell, the cig2o is not the greatest. If you feel silly using an ego in public (and I get it, it's kind of weird at first), how do you feel about sucking on a cigarette while taking your daughter out in public?

The choice is entirely yours. You can keep smoking, switch or quit. With the latter two your chances of seeing your daughter grow up, graduate, get married and have her own children. Want to play with your grandchildren without having to rely on an oxygen tank (if you live that long)? Stop making excuses and quit smoking. Take full advantage of this forum and find what works for you along with the endless moral support members here will give you through both your good and bad times. Just, please, stop making excuses and choose life and good health for both you and your daughter.

I'm also trying to get back to vaping and trying to quit smoking again. Not sure how much you smoked but I am a pack to pack and a half a day guy. What works for me is not trying to stop cold turkey like many seem to and just vape; rather I pick times of my day when I will just not smoke.

I have a somewhat stressful job (don't we all) so not smoking at work is kind of out for now. What I have done though is instead of smoking within the first hour or two at work I kept pushing back the first break. Today I was there for 6 hours before I smoked. A few weeks ago I wouldn't have lasted more than two. I also do bring an e-cig of some type to work (normally a small ego 350 and some kind of tank) and try to see if that gets me through a normal smoke break or two in the afternoon.

At home I like to mess around building coils or trying new juices. So I have went from chain smoking till bed to maybe one or two then calling it a night. I don't have an end goal other than not smoking and I'm not beating myself up if I do smoke. Using this mentality I went from 1-1 and 1/2 packs a day to about half a pack a day, and I'm ok with that for now.

I always wished that I was one of those people who picked up an e-cig at the gas station and never looked back but I'm not, and I feel your pain as being a heavy smoker who is also trying to make the switch. One thing that has helped me vape more at home is finding some new flavors that I really like. I have found a couple ry4's that are really good and will probably end up being my new "brand". I hope this helps somewhat and didn't just end up being to much of a ramble.

Welcome back to vaping Lilag.

Using those small cig-a-like batteries is going to make the transition a little harder as they often don't provide enough power or vape-time to satisfy - at least in my experience.

What nic strength are your liquids and how much of a heavy smoker were you?

When I first started vaping 2 years ago my intention was not to quit smoking entirely. I was just going to vape at work and in my car and smoke at work. After a couple of weeks though I found myself vaping at work also cause I liked the taste. I finally just quit buying anymore cigarettes and haven't had one since.

As for worrying about how you look, that will pass. I don' mind the looks anymore. All I know is I feel better and I def smell better.

I found the transition difficult myself. I was using a 650 mah with a Vivi Nova clearo tank. If I could go back in time I would have upgraded to an aerotank or something similar. A better tank can make a world of difference. They deliver a thicker, richer tasting vapor that is better at curving any cravings you may have for cigarettes. Use a nic level of 18 or so and see if that helps as well. You can reduce the level after you have adjusted to vaping instead of smoking.

Most of all just keep in mind why you are making this change. You are doing it for yourself and your family. It isn't an easy road but it is very worthwhile.

hey lilag,

I'm also in same case with you. start vaping on august 2013 and start smoking for several months, then back again to vaping. In this case, I would say to use bigger batteries, like ego-twist. at least use 1000 mAh battery. longer vapes time is better. buy some good tanks like mini protank 3 or other small tank, but easy to use.
hope it helps :D cheers
