Getting Back to Vaping After A Long Hiatus - HELP

About 3 years ago I started vaping and quit smoking for about 6 months. I went through a few devices..namely, an Evo, a kit with a cartomizer model called the Nebula which suuuuuucked so bad (never again), and a classic Joye510. The Joye510 was the best by far, only downside was the batteries got sucked dry quick and the atomizers didnt last long. Overall (this was in 2010 or so) i liked the Joye and Evo quite a bit, but the maintenance and technology just wasnt there. I fell off the wagon.

Now I'm wanting to try again. Have there been improvements? I like the clear carts I've been seeing. There's so many models and so much to sift through, what's a good reintroduction for me? I still have my old Joye510 accessories, is there a new improved Joye that will work with the charger and batteries I still have?

Thanks. All the new names, terminology and rebranded devices is overwhelming.

As someone who fell off the wagon, back to analogues for a year, and back to vaping again recently I can sympathize. And a LOT has changed in that time.

I found the reason I stopped vaping was "chasing the dragon" syndrome. ie. I acclimatized to the vape, (it became less satisfying) and the tech couldn't keep up.

It's different now. Lots of good options. If I could do something different now though, I would go for power right away. Get a Variable Volt mod you can ratchet up the power with. Provari, Vamo, Zmax, etc. The ego twists are a good starting point but I found they couldn't keep up after a while. Also start with a decent clearo - vivi nova, kanger t3, etc. This will get you going again.

THEN- and there are those who may disagree - I would start the process of learning about rebuildable atomizers. HUGE learning curve and may take a lot of research but its worth it in the end IMO. The vape quality is next level once you get it right - I can't vape anything that's not a genesis style now - for me, it catches the Dragon.

GL!

My suggestion is to get an eGo Twist and a Kanger T3. About $30 for the two. A big step up from your old setup !

Of course you also need juice. No suggestions there except get little tiny, cheap, bottles until you find what you like.

Your 510 charger may charge the eGo (not sure) but it will take forever. So you really need an eGo charger too.

I'll second the Spinner and charger for it. The 510 charger will take a long time on a big battery. The Spinners come in sizes up the 1300 mAh, good for a day or two of heavy vaping. And you can put darn near anything 510 or sGo threaded on them.

If you really like the 510 form factor, look into higher capacity batteries. Mad Vapes has them up to 350 mAh (the originals are, I think, 150), so they'll go roughly twice as long. Top it off with a Vivi Nano. They hold just under 1 ml, are clear so you can see how much is left, are really easy to fill, and work well with 510 batts.

Thanks so much, great suggestions so far. Yes, i loved the 510 form factor, and the vape was excellent, so heavy and a great throat hit, was as close to smoking i felt as one could hope to get without smoking.

The 1300mah batt and Vivi tanks look good. Those were the biggest drags (pun intended) about the Joye, the batt life and the messy carts. Thanks again, keep em coming.
