Getting frustrated with cigar/tobacco flavours

Status

I have moved to 0% nicotine and just vape for the sensation and flavour, which brings me to my "problem". I LOVE cigars and I know there is no match in e liquid for a fine burning cigar...granted, I accept that but....

99% of the cigar and tobacco flavours out there STINK of this weird spicy, peppery rubbish which I can't seem to avoid and no one else seems to notice or find as repulsive as me...I'm getting frantic. What the HELL is that WRETCHED spice/pepper/ cat piss flavouring SOOO prevalent in cigar and tobacco flavours! My LORD it make me sick! It's like patchouli steeped in an old gasoline can...I can NOT be the only human being who hates this dreck!

I vape House of Liquids Puros and have done for years...lovely stuff but rarely available in 0% mg. I would like a concentrate that I could mix with to try different things but I will scream if I get that bitter "devil-spit" one more time.

HELP!

If Pluros is your benchmark, you might start with their description (taken from their website):

And a bit further down:

I have no personal knowledge of. or experience with, this product. But, reading the above, I am thinking that @MSK421 is on the right track. NETs (Naturally Extracted Tobaccos) might well be what you are looking for instead of synthetic concentrates.

I do not use NETs, so I can't offer any personal recommendations, but the links (esp. the first one) MSK421 might give you a better (sub)forum to inquire further. I think they are mostly focused on at-home DIYing NETs (making your own extractions from leaf), which has appears to be more effort than I am interested in pursuing, but there may be folks who can point you toward good suppliers of commercially prepared, and sold, extracts. The only one I could find during a quick google search was Extracts who appears to sell both the concentrates (they call (extracts"), as well as ready-to-vape e-liquids (including 0mg nic strength:)). Again, I have not used them, so this is not an endorsement, merely a starting point for further consideration.

I hope you find something that works for you; good luck!:D

I second MELs line of tobaccos. Copperhead, Red Rider, ect. Their line I used for 2+ years and enjoyed! I did not suggest because op is in Scotland. I moved to diy NETs for flavor and saving money.
@SCOTT-3; I filter 3 times then I freeze filter. I'm able, on average, to use 12 ml of liquid before cotton change/rebuild. The freeze filter is the secret. I now get the same amount of time/liquid on my coils as I do when using sweet, bakery ect liquids.

Wow...12mls isn't much juice before your cotton poops out. Maybe try rayon instead of cotton. With cotton the juice flows inside the fiber and prone to plugging up with partially cooked juice blocking the flow thus less and less juice gets to the coil and the coil then burns. Rayon the juice flows outside the fiber so its not as prone to plug up. You may be surprised how much more mileage you'll get from rayon. I got tired of rewicking constantly when I used cotton so went into rayon then never looked back.

Average is 12 ml. Ohm natural ryo tobacco very clean extract so up around 45+ml. Night cap tobacco extract very "dirty" 6+ml. All my other NETs fall somewhere in between. I find synthetic and even natural blueberry by itself is a coil killer. Blueberry muffin even worse. In fact the copperhead by mistereliquid seem to kill coils at about 20ish+ ml. It's a synthetic tobacco blueberry cream mix.
I'll try the rayon as a wick......I'll pull out my '70s, fly collar disco shirt I've been saving with my bell bottoms for when they come back in style and use that. Kidding! Thanks I'll try it!

Wow. I had no idea. Is this common for people who build their own coils? Are you vaping at a fairly high Wattage? I don't ever even really go close to 100 Watts. About as high as I go is 75-80 and that is really, really rare. Lately I've been doing low Watt MTL and TC. My atomizers last a good while. At least a week, typically. A week for me can be anything from 30 to 100 mls depending on how busy I am.

I build ss316l dual chimney coils @ .85 ohm Vape @ 25w. 6 RTAs rotation daily. On the job it's a 8ml vcmt rta only but at home the others are used at different times throughout afternoon, eve, and night. TC is also used mostly around the house using my IPV5. I rebuild/rewick once a week. If I only used Night Cap NET I'd guess I'd have to rebuild/rewick every day. So its common for anyone who uses NETs, sweet, bakery, or other "dirty" eliquids.

Man. I use a lot of tobacco, creamy, and fruity liquids. I tend to use somewhat thin liquids though. I've had really good atomizer life span mixing 100%PG 24 mgs nic from MEL with USPG 99.5% anhydrous VG from my local drug store. I'll go 50V/50P (12) for MTL and 75V/25P (6) for DTL. I have been using high VG juice from other sources in my TC set up, but I just recently got into TC, so maybe I'll see it there.

MELs tobacco flavors in order of cleanliness to dirty I've personally used. Red Rider, roughneck, Varadero, gray matter, HFC, copperhead. The first 3 or 4 on list last 2 weeks+ on coils and the last 2 or 3 on list received a weekly change of coils. When I used them I ordered at 33%vg and the 70%vg with no difference in cleanliness. Remember your mileage will very. I now diy mix at 10-15% extract in 20pg/80vg.

No argument there. Rayon is the way to go especially with coil clogging juices. With cotton I got about 3 ml worth of use with my NETS, with rayon I get 9 - 12 mils which is 3 -4 days instead of 1 day. With finely filtered nets I can get up to a week. I run a Mec MOD and although the coils crust up they run hot enough to still deliver good heat to produce good vaper. BUT with rayon they don't soak up the crusty crud and harden like cotton. I can take a week old rayon wick and rinse it and it turns snow white again. Don't get me wrong I don't reuse the rinsed wicks this just tells me how much cleaner and efficient it is over cotton (Cotton stayed black when I rinsed it).

Getting back on subject I agree with the rest. If your not getting the tobacco satisfaction from synthetics you should go to the Net extraction forum and try NET extraction. It's done wonders for my tobacco enjoyment.

Happy 4th everyone.
