Getting my kit tomorrow question on Juices PV/VG ratio

The site I'm going to be ordering my ego kit from has juice samplers you can get. I'm going to start off with 10 5ml bottles of different choice in juice flavors / nic. Also getting some LR boge cartomizers

I smoke a pack a day of pall mall reds / marlboro 27's if I can find them cheap... I had a blu cig before and used it for a few weeks then the frustration of the battery life got to me so I stopped for awhile. So upgrading to a ego 1100 mah battery kit.. The website I'm getting it from is pretty cool and lets you customize the pg/vg level of the juice you get..

From my understanding the standard would be say 80/20 PG/VG ratio. The site lets you go up to 95% VG if you want. Should I get my bottles ranging in PG/VG with most 80/20 or is there a better ratio I should look at maybe like 60/40 ? Also guessing from my pack a day of stronger cigs I should go with mostly 24-36mg nic but going to put some 12 / 18 mg in there just to test what I like.

Welcome to ECF. Once you have 5 posts, wait 1 hour and you will be able to post in other subforums.
The standard is generally 70/ 30 pg/vg. I would suggest you order/ buy some PG and VG so that if you need more vapor or TH you can add. As for Nic/ mg if it's too strong you can always add some pg/ vg BUT the flavor will be diluted whereas if the nic/ mg is too weak you'll have to buy some flavorless nic juice. I began with 36 mg and am now down to 30 mg by way of diluting.

Throat Hit/ TH is a combo of nicotine and pg. Vapor comes from the vg. You will find many upgrade to Mods because they give more control and better TH, vapor and longer batt/ battery life. Remember to drink lots of water otherwise sore throat, dehydration and lack of taste of the flavors may occur.

for my ego-T use (tanks only so far), i've been using 15%/20% VG, rest PG. everyone seems to say that any thicker (VG is thicker than PG) and the tank atomizer wont' be able to wick the stuff down to the heating element. when i took an atomizer apart there's 3 very tiny channels on the insides of that 'needle' and i could see where thicker just won't work.

i ordered some of those cartomizers to see how they behave, along with some 50/50 mix (from mtnvapor.com, 30ml + free cartomizer for $12 shipped).

i think my good spot is 18mg nic. 12 seemed too weak and 24 was a hair too much for me.

I run 20-30% VG in my Boge carto's and it works great.

As for nic levels, unfortunately there is no set formula on that. For example, my wife and I both smoked 1-1.5 packs a day. We both smoked the same cigs. We started off at 12mg nic. It was too much for her, not quite enough for me. She is happy at 6mg, and I do best with 24mg.

The variables seem to be each person's smoking style and also their vaping style.

Just a guess, but I suspect 18 may be the low end of good for you. Again, it depends 'how hard' you smoke the analogs. If I had to select one strength, I would probably say 24mg.

Dude, juice is personal. My opinion, try a bit of everything. I started with volcano juice, which i believe is 80/20 PG/VG and i got it in 16mg nic. I find the throat hit is a bit too harsh from the PG, chokes me up after a bit. I also found that I got a bit too piqued from the 16mg nic and my constant vaping habit. So now im on a 50/50 blend with 11mg of nic and I am finding its just around my sweet spot.

My next order I plan on doing 2 60/40 at 6mg for my bedtime stuff, since nicotine is bad for you at night.
Then 2 70/30 at 12mg and 1 100% VG at 18mg for a good morning vape.

I think after that I'll be able to decide what I like most out of my juice and what qualities they should have for me.

So if your going with a 10 pack sampler I think you have a great idea there. Go nuts man, get a bunch of different blends. Try them all!

Lastly, I'm not sure, but I think fruit flavors do better in PG then VG, could just be this batch I got though. I could be wrong lol.
