So I currently have an ipv mini that goes to 30 watts, a couple mech mods I never use anymore, and a Hana knockoff (didn't know, or wouldn't have bought. Got it back when I was a clueless noob).

I am insanely jealous of, and constantly use, my friend's Sig 150watt. What I like about it is just that, the wattage. I love vaping at 65-70 watts. Sometimes higher. So I know m just for the sake of saving money later, I want something that gets AT LEAST 100 watts.

But now these tempature regulated mods have hit the market and I have heard wonderful things about the flavor. But is there any that go above 100 watts worth knowing about?

So now I don't know if I should get the Sig 150, the ipv 3...or go down in wattage some but get tempature control. Any suggestions, help, and wisdom is greatly appreciated.

What is the resistance of your coils? You don't have to build them like you would with a mech mod to get a great vape.

With VW mods, 99% don't need more than 30w. I build my kanthal builds in a KF v4 at 1.5Ω with 28g at 12w and get a great vape. With TP, I build .13Ω with 28g ni200 at 20w and 440°F and get a great vape too.

If you can order one now, Hyperion Vape is having a mother's day sale (Code : "MOM" (with quotes) for 10% off) and they have the Hana Modz v4 DNA40 for $135 shipped. You would need to buy Ni200 (nickel) wire to take advantage of temperature protection or just use kanthal in normal mode.

After trial and error, I go with somewhere between .4 and .7
Any lower, and it can be too much for me and I cough. Any higher and I don't enjoy it. And forgive me, but what is TP?

My ipv mini goes 30 watts but I always enjoy my vaping better with higher watts. It is just my personal preference. I have a friend who vapes and loves just 15 watts but that just isn't for me.

TP = Temperature Protection.

You need higher watts if you're building coils at .4Ω to .7Ω. If you build 1.2Ω - 1.6Ω, you'll get a similar vape at much lower wattages.

If it's too harsh (coughing), you might want to adjust the nic in your juice. I usually vape 3mg - 6mg nic juices. 3mg for drippers, 6mg for tanks. I still have some 12mg juices that are really harsh in my tanks so I mix them with straight vg liquid to cut down the nic.

What gauge wire are you using?
