Yes, you can use your cartos, if you get the standard length tube. Otherwise you'll need XL cartos. The kits come ready to vape.

As far as the Thingy goes, it is the container that the tanks ship in. Fiddling with your Thingy is a way to prime your carto. Put in your unprimed carto and fill the tank with juice and put it in the Thingy. Then twist the cap on and off. You'll see bubbles coming from the holes in the carto. Do this until you see a drop come out of the bottom of the carto. Add a few drops to the top of the carto and it's primed. Just refill the tank and you're good to go. This thread explains it in more detail and is a good one to follow. You can ask OCD (he cuts the tubes) questions there too.

Glad I could help. I have a 25mm standard which was my every tank. Then I miss ordered and ended up with 20 XL Smoktechs. So now I'm using my 19mm XL. It seems long too me on my Provari, but it works great so I'm using it. I also have a 19mm standard. I love how it looks on the Provari, but it just doesn't hold enough. Fit perfect in my case though, so it's a great backup.

This graphic might help. It's from my blog. E-Cigarette Forum - Baditude - Blogs

If the OP wishes to continue to use Smoktech carto's, the XL tank should be ordered.
