Hey everyone! I have been lurking the ECF for quite a while now and finally decided to join!

My basic reason is I ordered my first e-cig!

I have been smoking for 2 years, and wanted to find a way out that would be a bit easier than cold turkey. Also, I have always wanted to be able to "smoke" in my apartment.

I chose the Joye 510 after reading many accounts of how nice it is. My biggest concern is the fact I
chose an auto battery over a manual. I hope the auto works fine... I also got 3 flavors of ejuice and an extra 5 cartos for some awesome-ness!

I should have it here possibly on this coming Monday... I ordered it last Monday, but not thinking of the time of year and trying to save $3 I ordered it with USPS First class rather than priority... I have been waiting in anticipation for the last few days and cant wait to try it out!

Anyone from Ohio know if there are any shops to buy liquid in Columbus? I wouldn't be surprised if there are some seeing just how Columbus is.

Welcome to the ECF community & thanks for the post. You'll be fine for a while with the "auto" battery, but when you order extra batteries, which you'll need, I would suggest getting manual ones. You should also order some extra batteries. The 510 was a good choice for your first eCig, but parts do stop working at unexpected times and you'll want spares.

Many people start with autos so you aren't alone in that. Probably 90% switch to manuals because they simply vape better and give you more control.

Good Luck

I was actually looking into the Volcano Magma manual battery, PCC and pass thru. I can get all 3 for under $50 from the Volcano website. I read here that the magma series is the 510. Is this correct?

I think I'll wait a week before ordering that stuff to decide if I'm going to keep vaping. If I do want to keep vaping, I think my next paycheck will be going out to get all kinds of vaping supplies. :p

Congrats on the choicde and welcome to ECF! As banjo said, whe time to order new batts, go with the manuals.

oh yeah.........O - H

I-O! Haha!

I'm not sure about Columbus but VaporBomb is in Akron. Excellent juices and I believe they have a vape lounge? I know they have events there.

Welcome and glad to see you found your way here.
I'm a 35 or so day noobie and smoked for over 30 years.
I tried this vaping thing, not really expecting what happened.
2 weeks after my start date, I laid the analogs down.
I have no withdrawal symptons and do not miss the analogs.

My only thoughts to you, find a vendor and go ahead and order you a few more SMALL sizes of juice
as well as another 5 pack of cartomizers (one you fill yourself)....
I learned the hard way......due to lack of experience I burnt up a couple of cartos and ran out of juice
the second week...
No one here will scorn you if you don't drop the analogs right away.
It will just happen when you least expect it.

Happy Vaping and go ahead and put that lawn chair on the porch---
much easier while you stalk the postman.

Thanks for the info! I will keep watch of the juice level in mind. I just want to get the "feel" of vaping and be able to know that the investment I make for the supplies will be used. I plan on trying it for a few days and ordering a load of supplies if I think I'm going to keep vaping. I was thinking about maybe getting an eGo battery after I get over the whole Cig-to-ecig transition.

Also, its good to hear you had no withdraw symptoms. I turn into a bear if I don't get my nic fix!

And I wish I could sit on the porch and stalk the postman, but its like 10* out here! lol!

Woo hoo! I got it!!! and I am LOVING it! The flavors I got aren't the greatest, but I have had 0 craving for an analog! I think the nic level is perfect! My biggest problem has been keeping a battery charged. I may just switch over to an eGo battery seeing how long they last. Also, the tank system looks sweet!

I have a quick question also, I primarily use my USB charger simply for convenience. When I plug the charger into my computer, the light remains green and it doesn't seem to get much of a charge. Just for kicks, I tried plugging it into my 1 Amp USB HTC wall adapter, on that the light turns red and the battery seems to charge a little better. Should I have any concern about using the HTC wall adapter? Will the extra 500 mA of charging current hurt the battery or charger?

Thanks for the support also fellas!

Me again!

So I decided to toss both the automatic battery and 510 idea and bought a riva kit from liberty flights.

Its funny how fast I got over the difference in size of a regular cig and having to use a button. I actually had an analog with some friends during a new years party and couldn't stomach it at all. I ended up taking about 3 hits, tossed it away and pulled the riva out of my pocket. :)

Best choice I could have made! I got some eGo Mega cartos and couldn't be happier! Here is a video I made just to show what it could do.

On top of that, I charged one of the batteries I got just until the light turned green and it lasted for about 2 1/2 days!

I am so glad I found this forum to help me make a good decision for my future!
