Okay, so because Im extremely green to this site, and Ive recently become horrible with keeping up on forums (and that shows as now i cant post in the AVp section like i need to) im sorta stuck posting this here until i get yelled at for not being smart.

to start, ive been off cigarettes for a good 7 months now. going strong. i started with a little old smokeless selects setup that i loved for the longest time (lasted a long time, hit freakin great, menthol tasted amazing) until i got tired of trying to refil the cartos (which worked for a while, actually) and after ending up with hundreds of tiny little "cigarette butts" i decided to move up to the big boy section. A friend of mine helped me out with an old tornado setup. had your typical eGo style threading, but some weirdo non-rebuildable atty and carto/tank (no idea the words for that) setup. sort of a little pocket-ish thing you filled, and then it just magically worked. he ended up asking for it back, so i bought my own eGo passthrough that i had until last month, actually, and a set of 510 drippers. lived that setup until i got tired of it leaking all over and gurgling and hitting aweful ofer time. i also had one of these clear topfeeder style tanks, which sucked horribly, always. leaked after a few days from the tank being stuck on with hopes and dreams, and tilting it all the damned time just to lube the wicks got old.

everything changed when i found a shop that had a kangar evod. and it sucked like you wouldnt believe. it didnt hit. not "kinda", not "sorta" it just didnt. im sure i had a faulty one, but i was too ...... off to go back. it literally would not produce clouds, not even tiny little itty bitty ones, neither did it give a flavor. and you could here it cackling away. so i found a closer shop called vapaura, and they saved my vaping life. they rebuilt that little kangar, and that thing kicked like a muled. i used it like crazy (buying new attys over time, of course, and having a whole drilled out for flow) up until 2 weeks ago where the plastic on the inside decided it was done, and now everything tastes burnt. its all discolored and nasty now, so i retired it to the fall of fame. the guys ended up hooking me up with 2 new variable voltage eGo batteries, one thats a longer style and is amazing, the other that stops vaping after 7 seconds. needless to say i dont use that battery often. they even gave me a new evod, which proceeded to leak on me a week after i got it. joy.

sorry, im dragging on, but i feel like i need to post my history SOMEWHERE. anyways, a few other friends have had a couple better setups, one being a k100 and dripper style single coil setup (hate the coil, love the k100) that im now in possesion of after he traded a set of track spare rims to someone for the guys top of the line king. i can remember the numbers on it, but i do know that its expensive. has a beautiful tank and mesh wick style setup, hits amazing, feels good, the works.

and now, for the reason i made this post. since he let me use the k100, i figured it was time for a new kangar. so i picked up a protank II, and i had 2 holes drilled out (yes, its possible) and the atty rebuilt. hits amazing on my eGo batterys. but i get absolutely zero flow from the k100 or his king. nothing. it ignited fine, but i have to unscrew and suck and ignite to get the right fow while keeping a connection. why? is it because the kangar wants flow from the threads? why wont the k100 let me do that? can i drill holes out on the k100 to solve that? and also, will the ring around the threads come off peacefully? i kinda hate it a whole lot.. dirt and whatnot.

thanks for reading, or atleast tl;dr-ing to the questions, hope to hear some sort of reply on any of this long and rather boring essay ive decided to type. my wrists hurt now :p

edit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gPN8YuDSSpU found this video. dont really wanna get that extreme like that, but that essentially my setup he's holding.

also, seperate because irrelevante to above post. sorta. i had the dripper atty i got with the k100 rewrapped to a pain setting. 2 wrap on ecowool. hurts. bad. really bad. and that also happened to be the demise of my passthrough. one attempt, and you could smell the battery start to burn, so i had to rip it apart to seize the metling and disposed of it. it was a sad day. atleast the atty hits at a .34 when wet.. but it wont stay wet even if you drown it.

Protank need air from the base so if you sit it flush with k100, you pretty much couldn't get any airflow.

2 wrap on ekowool, that's gotta be super low ohms even with 32g kanthal. Did you check a resistance before you fire that thing? Man, that was really dangerous, you were pretty close to blow your face off. If you wanna wrap coils, you should go to rebuildable atty sub forum here and learn about battery safety, how to wrap a coils etc. first before you wrap one. Then you could start off by wrap some normal resistance coils (1.5+ ohms) to get used to it before you jump in to sub-ohms coils.

well airplanes18 ... it's nice to have you with us....and also "still" with us, after I read this last bit
you should watch some video's on coiling ... my fav on that subject is RiP Trippers ... search for him on youtube, and you'll learn all you need to know about micro coils and stuff.
battery safety and usage: there are super nice blogs on this forum from Baditude here: Part 1l and here: Part 2....
there are many more blogs on understanding/learning rebuilding/coiling, Ohm/Watts/Volts, among others.

Please please check up on those, we want you to vape happily and safely...

Gosh, I sound like a grandma
