HI! :):)

As you can see I'm new to this forum and this whole vape thing. I'm thinking about trying out vaping but the more I read about vaping, the more complicated it gets(ohm's law, and other science stuffs)

Is there any cheap mod (is that what you call it) near Las Piñas or Alabang(Around Town Center area) that can help me get started? I'm dying to try this thing. Btw I have minimal smoking experience (I just tried to puff several times)

I have really no idea where to start. Is there somekind of a classification about mods?

Welcome to ECF. How much are you wanting to spend? I found a cheap ego style battery (the stick shaped ones) and an aspire k1 tank perfect for when I started out. When I was ready to upgrade I headed for an eleaf Istick with a nautilus tank. Those cost quite a bit more but gives you a much better vape

I'm thinking about 20$-30$ something about that range, and I read about a topic with wattage. What does wattage contribute to vaping?

Well, if you're not a former smoker, I'd suggest getting some liquid with little or no nicotine. I usually don't recommend vaping to a non vaper, but I'm not your parents. :) just talking USD in all my recommendations.

A good strong starter, would be a Kanger Subbox mini. Like I said, it's a strong starter kit and complete. It's over your price range, with a MSRP of around $80 "online street price" of around $60.

A good medium starter, would be to build your own. An Istick 40w TC can be had for around $35 online if you look for it, and pair it with an aspire Nautilus for around $25for a good beginning setup.

Now, any lower quality than that, and you're probably looking at an EGO setup. Those have been a while, and are on the cheap end. They won't offer you a lot of vapor, but for some, that's all that's needed. I don't have any recommendations for which one of those, since those are "a dime a dozen" type mentality. The most I would pay for an EGO style battery online, is $20 for a high quality one that has variable voltage/wattage.

Now, what does wattage have to do with vaping? Well, understanding the basics of how an ecig works is important. Basically, an ecig works by heating a coil wrapped around a wick. the wick is saturated with the Ejuice. when the heating wire is heated up, it essentially boils the liquid into a vapor. Now, with the coil, the bigger the heating coil, the more power it needs to get hot. That's where wattage comes into play. A higher wattage device can support a bigger heating coil, thus boil more liquid. You can go too high with your settings and dry out the wick too much, thus the term "dry hit" comes into play. It can get more complicated with that, but people usually match Ohms (which is USUALLY the size of the coil) with wattage to get a desired result. Higher ohms = smaller wire. So, 10 watts is enough to power a 1.6 ohm coil, but if you had a larger heating coil, it would be more like 35 watts on a .5 ohm coil.

hope this explains a bit to you.

...honestly, I did my suggestion above BEFORE I read your post. :) Nautilus and Istick seem to be a good starter setup.
