Hey Guys,

I just wondered if anyone has had this problem,

I stopped using ecigs for about a month when my batteries died,

Started using e cigs again, and the problem i'm having is i get used to the throat hit after a few drags then it just feels like breathing in warm air, I'm currently using a lavatube with 2.5 ohm atomizers, carto tanks, clearomizers and so on,
And even at 6.0 volts with 36mg liquid after a few puffs i just get used to the throat hits.

Originally for the last year and a half i've been able to pretty much chain vape with 18mg liquid at 3.7-4.2 volts fine all day long, but now its just annoying, i really dont wanna go back to analogs but i enjoy smoking/vaping or did should i say.

Any help?

Cheers
Jon

Jon, as I understand you, you're not getting consistent throat hits even at 36mg. That's quite the 'conditioning' :) Most people who have their hardware working along with having found the right flavors and nic level, usually are in need of the alkaloids that aren't normally part of the ecigarette experience. There has been some attempts to include them in some ejuices - you'd have to research that - or people have combined vaping with snus - tobacco packs that are similar to snuff that have the tobacco alkaloids that ejuice doesn't have. There's still the need for the 'visual smoke/vapor' and the ecig provides that part as well as the nic fix....

The only other thing might be to get a few flavors that you like a lot and change them up a bit - have two or three PV's going with different flavors to where one doesn't 'wear out' and you're challenging your taste buds with different flavors. Of course some flavors can simulate throat hit - cinnamon, menthol and some of the 'hot' flavors that use spices to 'irritate the throat'.

Most people I know who can even vape 36mg at high voltage are getting the throat hit they need. Perhaps others will chime in.

I agree with what Kent says. Also I think you will not do yourself any good if you continue like that :)

Firstly, your kit must be creating big, thick clouds of vapor or in your case it will be a waste of time. Good vapor volume is critical for people who need plenty of hit.

You might need WTA liquid. The first year for me, I had to have crazy volts and hit, it diminished over time, and a DIY WTA liquid helped with that.

You might try this: have 3 set-ups ready to roll.

- #1 = a hot, strong one with cigar or coffee or strong tobacco etc. These hit very hard at 36mg/high power.

- #2 = plain, minimum flavor base: unflavored base with just enough caramel to provide a minimal flavor, and no more.

- #3 = something cool with a bit of menthol in it, for a contrast. Watermelon + a touch of menthol is my current fav. Good for puffing on, and on, and on. Less nic in it is good for this.

It's a good idea to vary the flavors because if you only vape strong stuff you will get into an arms race - it can only get hotter and stronger...

You probably need some WTAs, it is very likely for someone in your situation (going hotter and hotter with no real satisfaction). Make sure the kit creates a ton of vapor ('huge clouds of thick, rich, creamy vapor') or it's all pretty much a waste of time.

Chong,

While I can't be sure, you make it sounds like the first few puffs are ok and then the TH drops. If you wait for a bit is the TH back again? If yes, how long do you have to wait?

Assuming you have two atomizers that you know are performing properly and satisfy your TH for the first 3-4 puffs, have you tried switching them once you start to see a drop in TH? I ask this because I have noticed that if my atty is "pushed" with many long, consecutive puffs, TH drops. If I wait 2-3 minutes and allow it to cool, it performs very well once again. In order to determine if it was me or the atty, I did what I have outlined above. In my case, it was the atty as the TH of the cool atty was just fine.

I'm wondering if there may be a problem with your atomizer or cartomizer or the lavatube itself. If you haven't already, I would try a fresh atty or carto. Next I might try a different PV altogether, either a better variable volt/watt or a 5 volt model and see if there is a difference. I use a variable watt Darwin and vape consistently around 5.0 volts with 16mg eliquid. When I want a bigger hit, I just hold that button an extra 5 seconds before inhaling and it is a noticeable difference.

Good Luck
