I vape 24mg tobacco flavors (using cartos) and the Throat hit just isn't there anymore folks....
When I purchase brand new pre-filled cartos the flavor & throat hit is there... as soon as I re-fill with my liquids (and I've tried DOZENS) it's gone... the flavor and the throat hit anyways.

What's up with this?

When I used to 'drip' on 510 attys it was 'all' there.... but I just got sick & tired of the cost and maintenance of 'hit or miss' attys and decided to switch to more reliable & consistent pre-filled 510 cartos... which are awesome UNTIL I re-fill..... I've heard alcohol can increase the throat hit... tried it with no luck... any other suggestions Vets? :)

More TH = Use More PG and Less VG, Add PGA or High Proof Vodka

I've tried the all of the above...... (except PGA... what is that?).... everything produced more vapor... but not more throat hit.

*** I'm currently vaping Nicotine Nirvana's 24 mg "USA MIX" eLiquid and Cignot's RY-4. Like the dozens of others I've tried, they have awesome flavor and produce tons of vapor, but little TH (unless you drip on a 510 atty system) - Can anyone recommend perhaps a better eLiquid that's noted for it's TH?

That MIGHT change the end result by 3-4%, that's all.

Good throat hit comes from two things: nic strength and warmth of the vapor. If you are using a 3.7 volt battery (3.2 volts under load), your throat hit on standard cartos with be average at best.

To increase the warmth, and thus throat hit, you need more power. A good 5 volt PV, such as the GLV2 or a good variable volt PV, such as the Darwin, will definitely increase your throat hit. You could also try LR attys, which will help some, but IMO, not nearly as much as a better battery PV.

Additives, such as PGA or some will tell you pepper, do not give "good" throat hit, just "irritating" throat sensation.

A less expensive option is a good 5 volt box mod from Ken's Box Mods. Ken's products are good and he is well supported on ECF.

PGA is pure grain alcohol. You've basically already tried that. Don't waste your time and money.

Note: in case you are interested, I just saw a "classified" for a basically new 5 volt GLV2 for trade but I would assume the person would be willing to sell it:

Let me reiterate, the throat hit on most 'pre-filled' cartos for my 510 systems is awesome.. (even the pre-filled Cartos for my Go-Go system is awesome)... it's only when I re-fill with 'my' current juices that I experience diminished throat hit (and flavor).... leading me to believe it's not the 'voltage' of my eCig units that is my problem, but the juices themselves. I'm thinking the Chinese juices are perhaps the reason for the better throat hit .... I'm using USA made juices. My problem begins when my pre-filled Cartos are re-filled with my current juices. Any other ideas or suggestions folks? :)

blondeambition3,

check out this thread : http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-im-stopping-vaping-ohh-noes.html#post3078755

Special note: post #5 has a link to suggestions from Hellen A. Handbasket.

Best..........

I ordered some 24 mg juice from VikingVapor.com & from VaporRenew.com with increased TH options to see if the 'problem' I'm experiencing really lies within the juices.... I'll keep everyone posted on my results.

I'm still open to hearing other views and/or suggestions on this however..... I really NEED to know 'what' lends most to the production of Throat hit and vapor... the voltage of the PV, the atomizers, the carts... OR, the juices used. :)
