I have a couple of questions about my new GG...first, what are the two adjustment rings on the push button for? How should they be adjusted? And second, I noticed under the top cap, there is another adjustment screw. What is this for? I have noticed that my VPX tank won't fire unless I loosen it several turns, then it wobbles...no good! Is there a way to adjust this? I have a Protank II that seems to be working fine! :)

The 2 rings on the button are the locking ring and the adjustable throw ring. To adjust your throw screw both rings up to make contact with the button head. Then screw in the button and test to find your desired button throw then tighten the lower ring to the body. The upper ring by the head is there so you can lock the button so it doesn't fire.

The adjustment screw in the cap is so that you can adjust for different length center pins. For your VPX tank try screwing that screw in a bit then put the tank on. Keep adjusting till the tank will sit flush and still fire.

Hi fright, I'm having an issue with my new jgg button as well. I have replaced the spring with 3 magnets, and it fires every time. My issue is I can't get the button to stay tight into the tube. I wants to unscrew or the top of the button will unscrew it's self while screwing & unscrewing the lock ring. I'm afraid to take pliers to it due to it being brass, but it's starting to be annoying.... Any help, would be appreciated :) Thanks

first, make sure your button cap is tightly screwed to the button pin. I like to use pliers on the pin side and my fingers with a towel, or anything grippy for the button cap to get it nice and snug. Once you have that snug, all you have to do is tighten the thin ring up against the tube to keep the whole switch from unscrewing. You should be able to get it tight enough by hand ( I don't recommend pliers for this).
Also, when you lock and unlock the switch, don't overly tighten the locking ring. This will eliminate you unscrewing the whole assembly when you unlock it.
Hope that helps

if your tank is a 510 tank then no need to adjust the center pin of collector tank greg. The only you have to do is to keep it in its lowest position.
This adjustable center pin is only for Odysseus and Iatty users and only when they use them with their native GGTS bases

pliers on small ring isnt a bad choice blake. A very small "click" with pliers and you are ok. Dont overdo it, just a click

Thanks so much Imeo!! I'll try that... Wow, I know why people love their gg's so much! It absolutely awesome that the actual maker of these mods still is on the forum on a regular basis and lending a helping hand. I appreciate it:)!!

To add to this I use the edge of a towel to tighten the button to the body. The edge is thicker so it gives more to grab on to.

Thanks fright.... Do u have any issues of the top button just popping off when u go to lock the device? I swear, it happened 3 times me at work today & after the 2nd time held a little piece of rubber on the bottom side while tightening & got it as tight as I could by hand, but it still pooped off again, so I guess I'll try pliers on that too?

Thank you, Imeo! I did not understand the purpose of the center pin. When I screwed it all the way down, my VPX tank worked great! Oh, and I added the brass tube parts to my wishlist on the SmokeGuru site! A two toned GG will be beautiful! Thanks so much for everyone's advice! Bye the way...I have not picked up my Provari in a week! Is that bad?

Use either a 5mm socket or a flat jaw plier on the nut on the inside with a rubber band or something like that on the button head.

Ahh!! That sounds perfect bud!! Thanks much, I'll do that later on. So far it's holding today, I tightened it down last night with pliers in both places (the whole button assembly) and so far she's staying together :)

Button popped on me once at a most inconvenient time, while crossing a dark street. Spent 5 minutes in the middle of the road looking for the button with one eye for any incoming vehicles, finally found it when I felt a crunch when I stepped on it.

Oh no!! Yeah, that would totally have sucked man!!!

Hopefully you should be good to go then. I know when I started using GG's this happened to me semi regularly till I started using a socket and a rubber band. I havn't had any problem sense though.

I bought two stealths a few years ago off the classies. From two different people. They where both older with the shallow engravings. Both had scratch marks from someone using pliars with no protection on the jaws. I can buff any scratch's out after sanding down first but guess what happens to the shallow engravings? Pliars are a GREAT way of screwing up a beautiful mod that is for certain. If you need to use pliars they need to have protection on the jaws! A rather simple way is heat shrink from say Radio Shack or else ware to leave on a pair for GG use.
