I'd like to see if there is anyone here on the forum who can professionally write some instructions for the GG products. It needs done, and I don't have time to do it.

I honestly think Imeo should have this done at his cost but I'm willing to split the cost with the other suppliers if need be.

Rob, I was a Technical Writer / Mechanical Engineer by trade (No longer due to economy though). I am more than willing to do this. Send me an email detailing what you would like to see in the instructions.

There are already examples of my Illustrations in the Wiki. Also for more examples of my illustrations and writing refer to the following Patents: 7,114,614 and 6,913,137

Here are a few questions right off:

1.) Is this for a specific model or all?
2.) Would this also include Legacy GG's?
3.) Would this include the publishing of the instructions or would that be handled by Imeo and\or the distributors?
4.) Will translations be required? Who would provide them?
5.) Would this also include Illustrations?
6.) Would a CD containing all of the instructions, illustrations / videos and translations be better than printed? If it were CD Only, then a Master could be provided to Imeo and each of Distributors for reproduction (Printed or Digital).
7.) In order to properly document/illustrate everything would require that I have one of everything which I don't . That could be considered into payment.

Also need to point out that most of the work has already been done for the GGTS\AVSv1 in the Wiki thanks to Urbanite for documentation, Zoranth (Me) for the Illustrations and of course tintal for the Russian translation. This information would just need to be cleaned up (very little) and reformatted for ease of use in a printed manual or CD version.

Man, just seeing an assembly diagram would have been helpful -- I must have missed that in the wiki if its there. I think this is a great idea, Rob, I always have been good with directions, not so good spitballing!!!

Lol Rip, Go have a look at the Wiki, All kinds of illustrations are there including exploded views

Rob--
I designed a harness for BATS (broadband antenna tracking systems- a new multimillion dollar communications company) so I have some experience in written instructions and whatnot.
If you need my help, I'd be more than willing to help out free of charge.
Tell me what you need in a PM and I'll respond accordingly.

:facepalm::facepalm::oops::oops::oops: That's where the diagram of the collector tank came from! Argghh!!!!

I obviously did not understand that there were instructions in the wiki, labeling it as such might be a good idea fwiw and the asking of the same questions would maybe lessened in the threads......well, I'm going to lose another day reading the manuals!

Can the O-rings be labeled in the diagram? There are so many sizes and they aren't sized in the pics....

Thanks Z!:):):)

Zoranth the Wiki has been a great help and really appreciate all the work you guys have put in to setting that up it has been a life savor for a lot of people.

The problem we have is we have customers that are not even on ECF that see the GG products on our website that have been ordering GG stuff and even though we put a note in the orders to direct them to the GG forum and Wiki they dont want to mess with getting on a forum. That is where we are having a problem not having the instructions.

yeah part of the idea behind the wiki, was that in the end it would be easier to produce a proper manual of sorts... of course with the way that things move quite quick with imeo, it's easier to update the wiki than the printed material...

Thats no kidding urbanite............LOL
