That is a beautiful job you did on giving it a brushed finish, may I ask how you did that or where you got it done. Its just perfect. How do you manage to keep the wings undamaged?

thanks mate. a quick few spins with a wet scotch brite pad or 500 grit sand paper should do the trick.. you can do it gradually so you know youre not over doing it.

I love the original Aluminum GGTB's. This is my personal Woodie in Aluminum wrapped in Amboyna Burl. The new ones I have for sale on the GG sticky thread are made from Brass tubes but this one is an oldie in Aluminum.

Here's the Amboyna down in the shop. That's another project I'm working on in Grade III California Claro Walnut

All contact points on caps are now solid brass for excellent conductivity

Even the posts and springs are brass

As are the button contact post and shank. Button itself is Stainless Steel though so it matches the caps beautifully

Those oversized caps are going great with your wood mods...Wish I could afford to buy one.
Anyway keep up the good work Torq!!! Maybe I could stop by one day when I'm down your way, I'm probably only a 2 hour drive from you.
