I don't get it,
Vapor Kings - JOYE 510, DSE801, RN4072, DSE901, RN4075, RN4062 and KR808D-1 e-Cigarette batteries, atomizers, cartomizers, e-Liquid, accessories and more!
"It is a 100% mechanically activated e-Cig that uses a single 10440 3.7v lithium-ion battery (protected or non-protected) (sold seperately)."

but,
TrustFire 10440 protected 600mAh 3.7v lithium-ion rechargeable battery
"This is a replacement TrustFire 10440 protected 600mAh 3.7v PROTECTED lithium-ion rechargeable battery. These are compatible with the GG Super Slim. They do not fit the regular GG Slim."

What gives, why doesn't the Trustfire 10440 fir the GG Slim? Anybody know? This makes me a little confused in trying to buy protected 10440s for GG Slim.

I believe that statement was for the 1st gen slims. The 2nd gen slims Rob carries on his site now take a protected 10440.

Thanks for the new-style Brass Slim Lisa (and Imeo!), I collected it from the P.O this morning. It's great, beautifully crafted and working perfectly.

I did try putting a protected 10440 in my old-style Slim but the battery is too wide in diameter. I don't want to force it and damage the plastic battery coating (which I imagine could lead to a short-circuit). I read that someone did manage, so maybe there are slight differences in protected battery dimensions, but I'll just stick to unprotected batteries in the old-style and protected batteries in the new-style.

Is the spring by the atomiser end a "fuse", or just for spacing? I wondered if is the Type2 spring on your site in case I ever needed a spare.

Looking forward to the Slim AFS being released.

Hi my friend D. Yes, previous Slim dont fit protected batteries. I made it before we discover the protected ones.
Spring on the atomizer end is for spacing but it will work like fuse when you get your magnetic button that cant get burned from shorts so the spacing spring will work like fuse. Of course there are spare springs, you can ask anytime my sellers for this.:)

Thanks Imeo, I'll keep a look out for the magnetic buttons on Lisa's site (I'm not sure what they are, but if its recommended I'll get one when available).

I put magnets instead of a spring inside the button. That means that if button cant get burned then the spring on the atomizer cap will work as a fuse:)

.

I just found that there indeed must be differences in some of the 10440 batteries, but in my case it's the length.

I bought some 10440 protected batteries through the classified without being aware of the possibility of a difference in length. I needed them for the inline battery replacement on a 510 passthrough.

Alas, when I received them, they are just about an 1/8th to a 1/4 inch too long to fit in the battery compartment.

Has anyone else run into batteries marked with the same number, but of different lengths?

I am going to try these in some other 510 PT's I have and see if they may fit in those, just have not gotten around to it yet.

Imeo, I think he's asking which of the springs on my site match the one in the atomiser cap on the new slim - rather than the one in the button.

For the button magnets, you want GGTS Button Magnets - Cloud 9 Vaping - I've not tried them on a slim button yet but I assume they work. Imeo, can you answer definitively on this question?

Protected 10440s (at least those that I sell) are actually the exact same 10440 battery as normal, but with the protection circuit installed. As such, they are longer and ever so slightly wider than the unprotected ones. To clarify, they didn't change the size of the battery itself, it just became bigger when the protection circuit was installed. This is common to all protected batteries when comparing them to their unprotected counterparts (except LiFePOs which are said to have protection inherantly due to their different chemistry).
