Is this being produced as a mod or add on or a myth? Very interesting concept if it's an add on.

Any info I can get would be appreciated

I was doing it from my phone. So search via Tapatalk isn't exactly helpful.

But thanks for being so helpful. Feel better about yourself?

Was the smart remark about the possibility of it being a "myth" a result of using your phone? Somebody new to the forum, who's serious, usually doesn't include remarks like that. Trolls do and we've had our share lately. If you're new and want to join the discussion; welcome....

....and to answer your question: I feel GREAT about myself but I always feel great.

Ah, I understand your apprehensiveness, but I would have liked the benefit of a doubt really. Sometimes, it's easier to get to know someone than to assume they are a troll. I wasn't really trolling (and I think it's funny that people would here, considering this is a highly sought after mod with a huge fan base).

Still, I am expecting my GGTS tomorrow and a friend of mine mentioned that it there was a VV mod in the works. We were at work when he mentioned it and ECF is blocked (I am home now, so thanks for the link).

He wasn't clear on whether it was a mod and add-on or just hearsay... he will most likely try to "borrow" my GGTS, which will not be happening since I am a greedy ......

And, I am glad your self-esteem is doing great :p

No hard feelings... thanks a lot for the link.

I have been sick a lot recently, hopefully it's nothing serious. Thank you also zuTma, if I don't get better soon I am going to go crazy.

Also TheKeithNewman it will be a add-on(not a myth) for your existing GGTS. Imeo has a lot of work on his plate so it's not going to be out quickly. He has a lot of testing to do so it's perfect.

The place you should check out first is GG Wiki, then Zoranth's schematics, and finally the Manuals.....all are stickies. If your GG is the stainless steel model, lubing the threads to prevent galling is critical.

Glad you're here; in a week you'll be stark raving crazy in love with the GGTS. Put the UFS along side the VV module on the list of "have to have". The adjustable draw on the GGTS is sheer genius, but Imeo put it over the top with both adjustable draw and adjustable liquid on the UFS. With the addition of adjustable voltage, words will be hard to come by that adequately describes the experience.

Yes Vaseline is small quantities on the threads is highly recommended by Imeo himself. I too welcome you to the GG forum. I will tell you without offense that most of the regulars here take the GG experience to the level of a hobby. Your suggestion in the Stealth thread that some of us need to get a hobby may have been misunderstood but if not, there's your answer.

No one here feels better than anyone else. All GG users and fans are welcome but to fail to understand that this forum is much more than tips and tricks is to miss some of the best things it has to offer. Some choose to see our approach as over zealous or even "cult-like" but that is their right.

As long as they keep that idea to themselves or in other forums it is their right. Imeo has created this forum and how it functions in the image he desired. Self monitored and self help from one user to another. Anyone that understands that can choose to ignore the passion of some posts or threads and just use the actual tech stuff. It is up to them. This forum can be as much or as little as you want to make it. I hope you choose to be a part of it all.

Enjoy your time here and enjoy your new GGTS. :)

My comment about getting a hobby in the imitation GG thread was in reference to a lot of the "passion" people were exhibiting when Imeo didn't really get worked up over it himself.

I understand the passion... trust me. My wife might not, but she's coming around ;)

I really dig the fanboism. Blind rage is another story that I can't get behind.

You're right, this forum is structured VERY differently from other forums. It doesn't feel... shill like. It's clear Imeo loves his userbase and wants to make sure they are taken care of in every way possible. It doesn't hurt that he has Bruce giving him a great name for him either.

I've been crabby lately. I bought a new seat because of backaches and they got worse.
So call me crabby D from now on.

Hey Crabby D;

I could tell you about backaches. In my lower back I have two disks that sit directly on top of each other. Old war wound damaged the cartilage between them and now there is none.

Just a quick question on this. I am not a GG owner(at least not yet LOL), so I honestly don't know for sure. Does the body of the GG actually provide the ground? And if that is the case, wouldn't dielectric grease, the clear kind you can get in packets at Auto Zone for $1.79, be more appropriate than Vaseline? I'm sure the difference is completely minimal as far as electrical resistance, etc... Mostly speaking from a theoretical point of view.

Yes, the body provides the ground. Dielectric grease is actually nonconductive grease so it's no good. Vaseline is what Imeo recommends to use on the body threads, because there is so much surface area that electric transmission really is a non-issue. What other people are using is a product known as noalox, which is an anti-seizing compound, reduces galling (Read up on this, very important issue with stainless steel mods) and aids in electrical transmission due to its suspended zinc particles. Noalox is not so important on the body threads, but a good idea on the switch innards and anywhere where contact areas are smaller.
