Have you seen this? Have'ya heard about this?

Maybe I'm late to the party on this, plus I don't speak German but this little fella looks so nice. It reminded me a lot of a GG, probably the mirror finish and brass caps, and it looks as though it might be expand/contractable for different battery configs. If anyone can translate some of the video it would be awesome.

First its cool, shiny, nicely finished and just plain hot to look at.
But,,,, its super over engineered, takes a lot of tools just to get through it, and it's $795 USD. It appears to be borrowing a lot of ideas from other mods, although the charger is interesting. I'm thinking its not for me even if the price were a lot less.

This reminds me to thank Imeo, for providing a simple (and very affordable) mod. Just goes to show you can make these things as complicated as you could possibly want. The price tag is far beyond anything I could justify, but it's very expensive to prototype, and produce technically challenging products, that price get's passed on to the consumer. Sometimes complex, isn't better.

Thanks Imeo for not price gouging us with your creations!

P.S. Your machining/ finishing is FAR superior to what is shown in this video

I'll give it kudos for the shiny factor and the fact that it's the first hybrid box mod (that I've seen, anyway). It's got some cool features, but just looks like it's too much hassle to build and maintain

Am I correct in understanding it uses the eGo circuitry? if so, I sure hope it's not regulated that that low a voltage like the eGos are

Ok, forgive my poor translation abilities but at least I gave it a try... :p The following text was posted by the creator in a german forum. I am a bit shaken about this device it looks awesome from the outside but the inside can't compete to the look in my opinion.

Hi all, I want to present my project. As i started I wanted to build a mod for my everyday use, including the use at work. Since 1st of March vaping is prohibited at my working place

The project went totally different as expected, I had about 6 weeks of planning, solving Problems and build time - although my goal was to build a small mod with some durability.

Purchase is possible!

Well, here come the facts:

Original Ego Elektronic, modded for PWM - look at the circuit diagram!!! (? Annotation by Manni: isn't that what the eGo electronic it is doing anyways?)
Regulated 3,3V up to 0,9Ohm coils (up to 12 Watts)
Cut-Off at 3,2V (button blinks 20 times), so you always get a constant vape wether the battery is fully charged or almost empty. After cut-off you need to shorten (!) the device and reset it in order to reactivate.
Short-Protection for atomiser resistance with 0,85 Ohms and lower (button blinks 3 times) plus current cut-off. After about 2 seconds the device will activate itself again (without needing the reseter).
Charger contact is also short-protected. If activated you can only reactivate the device via dockingstation or a special resetter device (todo). The reset will be signalled by the button unit blinking 3 times.
Charger Current cut-off at 4,19V (thus avoids overcharging), up to 350mAh charge current (charge current gets less if the battery charges)
LED (at the dockingstation) is red while charging and after 4,17V have been reached it turns white. 5V USB connector or power-plug.
Charing is always possible regardless of the charge state of the battery.
The device can be placed in the docking station at anytimes and stay there of course.
Theoretically works 4 times longer than a default 650mAh eGo battery! (he got the red 3000mAh (Dis)Trustfires in the device)
Repairable atomizer! So you can prepare your own coils (several different possibilites)
4ml tank volume!, refill is performed via athe big screw on the bottom part of the device
Illuminated docking station, tank, atmoizer and button
Battery protect bee 6A (original 3A), Electric mod save bee 2.5V, Overload save 4.25V, measured 2500mAh
Weight: Terrox mod. 86x47x22mm (HxWxD) about 228gramms. Dockingstation 39x48x85 (HxWxD) about 300gramms, together 528 gramms without cable. Material: Polished Aluminium, Polished Brass, Stainless Steel

Here are 83 picures: Please have a look: https://picasaweb.google.com/11657826092...939461896022450
YouTube Video: Terrox mod. - YouTube

You can buy this mod but only this one as I won't do another one (as it is too much work, simply, far too expensive)
The device is still in the testing phase, I will give it away after about 4 weeks as I don't want to give away junk
PM me if interested but it won't be cheep. This is a unique device, kind of decoration but fully useable. It should be placed on a bosses table and be seen by lots of people as an advertisement for the vaper world.
This is my dediction to vaping.
Almost noone would see it at my place, much to valuable to be used for just vaping.

A bit later he posted:
You drive me crazy!
I had so many guys asking for a small series so I asked my boss if we could do a small batch of 50-100 pieces.
I told him about my new ideas, a cheaper version with china atomizer and tank for people who don't like repairable atomizers.

Remeber: Vaping is prohibited at my working place but the boss said: hey, ,why not - the machines are available.
So I went to the constructor, took the Terrox apart and he just shook his head and said no, let it be. He asked about the selling price for the device and I told him 250€ - he laughed and said we had to pay more than this for the production. maybe it makes sense if we produce 100.000 parts but 00 is way to less considering all the costs for programmin the CNC, CAD, Tools, assembly, teaching of employees and so on. Something like this would have to cost about 800€...

Finally he SAID that he is going to keep his mod, cause he got so many requests for buying, people blaming him for the high price and he also was blackmailed against (? I wonder why?).
He also wants to add a VV device.
