GGTB 17670 Battery Charging Issue

Hey, I recently picked up a GGTB for my lady and am having issues charging the 17670 batteries. She used one battery for about 2-2.5 days, so I know that it is nearly empty. However, when I insert it into the charger, the charger indicates that it is full. I'm using a Pila charger... any ideas on what might be happening, or how to fix it?

Okay, that's really weird. The one that is unused tests at 4.17v. The one that she has been using for 3 days tests out at 4.11v. I have no idea how that is possible.

They are "Protected" batteries, though, so the voltage output may be regulated?

Li-ion batteries in uncontrolled discharge may have a short life cycle compared with other types of batteries. At full discharge of lithium-ion batteries lose their ability to be recharged when you connect the charger voltage.

If you are installing the battery into the charger heats up, but not charged, then this battery should be avoided.
During the three days of battery could be exhausted to 2.7 volts. This low level could take the battery out of action.

Ah, I didn't know that not charging them could lead to failure. This must be what happened, I'll remember to charge her other batteries every night now. Thanks!
