My GGTS arrived today. I purchased it from a user on this forum. I noticed that there is an issue with the button not locking so I took it apart to investigate. When you unscrew the nut it comes all the way to the top of the button and is very loose and would fall off if not for the button there to keep it from coming off. On the inside the spring has been removed and it contacts the post regardless of the nut position. What should I do guys? Other than that it works great and I love it.

I also ordered a GG Stealth and an Oddysseus from COV, Thank you Imeo for all your hard work!. So regardless of this button issue I am not concerned at all. I purchased this because I admire the engineering beauty this device is. I admire the design, beauty, and simplicity. Imeo is very talented and I will be looking forward to his revolutionary inventions in the future.

If anyone can help me understand how I can fix this or make reccomendations of what I should doI could really use the help. Thank you all!

That knurled ring SHOULD screw all the way out to the button - that's how you lock it: screw all the way in to unlock, screw out until it meets the button to lock.

If your spring is missing, you can order new ones (2012 brass version) from COV here: GG New 2012 Replacement Button Spring - currently out of stock though, he doesn't even have the older ones in stock right now.

If you're sure your spring is missing (have you disassembled the button assembly?), PM me your addy and I'll mail you one.

Every adjustable throw I've seen are all brass....like these (threads go all the way up the tube)

That looks like a newer low profile button/switch. You might have a lost/broken spring. Check it out when you can and see if the tube locking ring moves.

That's exactly it sir. I fixed it like you said. I need to find a spring, I will begin this search today. Does anyone happen to know the size needed by chance? I can figure it out on my own and report back. Imeo's instruction when completed appear like the picture on the left. My issue was like the picture on the right. Thank you everyone! Fixed minus a spring.

Check this post for some measurements used for magnets
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/gg/252428-earth-magnets.html#post4881687

I would guess 5-5.5mm dia with 7-8mm length (uncompressed) if you have the old style adjustable throw. I think a pen spring might work nicely.

If you want to try magnets a bunch of us have used the magnets from here
Gaussboys Super Magnets :: Rings :: 6mm x 3.5mm x 2mm N38 Nickel Plated Neodymium Magnet - Ring
since the origional gg magnets are no longer made.

BTW if you ever want to get rid of that button please let me know the adjustable throw buttons are the best GG buttons made IMHO.
