Hello Imeo
I have The GGTS SS that I bought it second hand form Facebook auction, since I got I have a problem with firing button, what ever I teak it and clean it keep misfiring, I have to press it and twist it till it fires then stop, and without fort her twisting if I press it again it won't fire or fire very weakly, and if it did fire it get really hot, I always make sure the button pin touch the axis ( I have both the fused and the sprig axises )
The axises are brass and the button all SS.

I just finished cleaning every single part of both, the GGTS and ithaka, rebuild the ithaka but because of this issue I'm using it with my chi you.

Thank you Imeo,

I thought of the brass pin yesterday after I ordered ithaka update kit but it was out of stock, for the axis and pin, as you were with me, I already cleaned them with toothpaste and a hot path and after drying them out,I cleaned them again with metal polish cream then test it with same result, after that I did use a piece of sandpaper but with no luck, same result.
I will try to get brass pin, thank you for help Imeo

If your pin is fine and threads normally in the button head, head doesn't wobble, I think the spring in the switch is what causing the problem. When the button gets hot check the axis and the battery. Is any of the hot?

Plus shorten the throw make sure the pin is touching the axis in a normal fashion. Let me know what happens. My money is on the spring getting hot and becoming high resistant.

My pin is fine, but the head did wobble a little, about 1mm because the button housing wide as shown in the photo, for the spring, how to know if it is the problem? Do I need to change it?

The button pin is touching the axis normally, I know that because I press the button then try to open the bottom cap and it doesn't open till I release the button.
The misfire issue is ether not firing at all and in this case it doesn't get hot, or it fires weakly or fires semi-normal( semi-normal because it fire will but with same atomizer and battery on chi you I get harder performance), in last 2 cases the button get hot.

Remove the engraved tube from the telescope and look inside the telescope and check if the pin is contacting the axis normally. As for the spring, if you have a clicky pen you can use that spring to test or try to find another spring.

EDIT: the wobble in the head is normal in the housing, I meant wobble between the head and the pin outside the housing.

Every time I assemble the button I remove the engraved tube from telescope to make the pin is touching axis and then I test if it is touching properly by pressing the button and trying to open the bottom cap.
I have extra axis spring which is hrader but I got same result so I will try pen spring and see, anyway I contacted e-smokguru if I can add button spring to my order before shipping it.
It is a very bad felling to have and hold a GGTS and be unable to use.
Thank you for help.
