Here is what i have to say about the new GGTS fuse:
It works like a charm! Passed three unwanted tests today...
So i've got the new fuse and some HV atties from our dear Lisa. All nicely packaged as usual and i am feeling the urge to get a slim (lemme check that volcano).
As i usually do, i test all atties no matter where they come from. I do it to spot any dud and, mainly, to get the primer off so they are ready to roll.
I was eager to get a 6 volt vaping again coz i destroyed some 510 regular atties last week and had dropped to 3,7v.
I fitted the new fuse, checked for performance issues and there were none at 3,7 volts - same TH and same vapor. Grabbed my 1st HV atty and a cart went really fast. Now it was time to check the other atties. Fitted the 2nd one , hit button and nothing, nada, zilch! My 1st thought was the batteries, so i popped some fully charged ones and nothing happened.
Now i was thinking maybe the atty was bad...so i got the 3rd one in....and nothing happened. However i could feel that the GGTS was getting warmer around the button. I checked the fuse and the spring was toast. It had shrink and was broken. Replaced it with a new spring (i bought 6 spares) and hit button again. Good vapor. Got the 2nd atty back and ZILCH...another toasted fuse.
The GGTS was warm and i got the batteries out. They were warmer than usual...in fact, i got a bit worried till i noticed a small white o-ring in my lap. Whoaaaa...what is that??? I checked the 2nd atty and sure enough the o-ring just wasn't there! I never had seen that and trust me...my atties get a lot of bangs from falling sometimes. It was a loose o-ring from factory for sure. That caused the fuse to short in a blink.
Now...as i'm stupid i had to give it another try. Another spring the o-ringless atty and nothing...but what i was expecting: 3rd spring for testing purposes now (ihihihihih...stupiddddddddd) gone to vaping heaven.
So if anyone has doubts: don't have them. This fuse works like a charm and you really notice it coz things get warmer! One HV atty and three spring fuses less but i am sure this is a great improvement as for what concerns security.
