I have said before that if you experience problems with fuse (low smoke, small thoat hit) you can put 2 springs instead of one. That way the fuse will get burned later but you are still protected against short cirquits
I have been wondering about that, if some kind of resistor could be used in a different collection tank base -- it would be a major overhaul (the pin would be different but it could just be an adjustable screw on top of the redesigned cap) BUT if you did it right it could just be a replacement part for existing GGTS. It would need to be maybe about 25mm in length and it could even have a dial for VV -- I think it could be done but electronics aren't my thing.
