I'm having an issue on my GGTS Passthrough that worries me. If anything metal touches the bottom cap or metal part of the USB cable the GGTS fires on it's own. Not safe at all. Is anyone else experiencing this issue? If so, did you come up with a solution.

Harpo,

Edited as I thought it was another issue.

I have my puresmoker passthrough hooked up and if it touches my GGTS it fires without pressing the button.

the metal piece of the ps passthrough touch the A/C cap of the GGTS and GGTS fires? It touch only the cap? Maybe it touches the cap and the threads of the wire together?

Cool!!! an automatic wire fire button ;-)

I can adjust the button on the GGTS so it won't fire when pressed but as soon as I touch the PS passthrough to the GGTS it fires. Somehow it's completing the ground circuit. I bet if I hook up my GGTS passthrough in my car and touch the GGTS to a ground point it fires as well.

the well known emonty as always!!!!!

Harpo. You mean that GG has its wire on it and it is on wall plug. So when you push button it fires. But it also fires if something metal like e.g. a coin touch anything on the GG?

Imeo
Yes and yes. No it will only fire if something metal touches it that is grounded i.e. my Puresmoker passthrough plugged in to the wall.

Thats impossible Harpo. But I think I understand now.
Ok, unscrew the A/C cap and screw well its brass axis on it because I think its unscrewed

I think this has baffled the GG family. Imeo I tried taking a wire from the ground in my A/C outlet and touching the GGTS and it doesn't fire. There's no voltage on the case of the PS passthrough. But somehow the PS passthrough is completing the circuit when it touches the GGTS. I put a piece of paper between the button axis and the cap axis and it doesn't fire. So I adjusted the switch out to where when pressed the GGTS doesn't fire but if I touch the PS to the GGTS it fires.

Okay I figured it out. Not sure if anyone remembers those 5V/2amp wall adapters that were $3.95 each a while back. Well this is my problem. I have several of them and they all do the same thing. If I have my GGTS passthrough and my PS passthrough plug into the same adapter all I have to do is touch the PS to the GGTS and the GGTS fires. So I tried plugging them into different adapters and touching them together and the GGTS doesn't fire so the problem is in the adapters.
