Threads are thin so they dont look very nice but they have not problem of course and but you cant see them when GG is full assembled. I made it like this to make it lighter buddy:)

Imeo,
Yeah, I hear ya.... I dont care bout the weight tho...and many others dont....Look at a lot of mods that are made with stainless steel, and sell like hotcakes...So weight cant be the only determining factor, ya know?

I would love to see a Stainless steel GG.... I know your against it, But I would love it.... Stainless steel in my mind is classy ...and so durable...

This is just my opinion tho....

Ok, I'm gonna go vape my GGTSv2....ttyl =)

I am voting for a stainless gg, I do not care about the weight or maybe just the connector cap could be made out of stainless and sold as an upgrade. The connector needs to withstand constant use and I am just nervous about this aluminum one. I am very very careful when screwing in atties but last time I unscrewed one, there was a little shard of metal in the middle so I hope I do not go through another connector.

+1 for stainless steel, make it is a thin as possible while retaining the incomparable strength of the material. no tarnish and much less chance of any threading issues. brass nickel plating, besides the possibility of allergic reactions for some, will also tarnish in really funky ways that a lot of people probably won't like.

cant make it too thin because I've experience that with the prodigy ... Stainless will bend and will cause threading issues...

"thin as possible" within the parameters of reasonable use/abuse.

BuGG; I'm with you guys ... I want a heavier unit But I was just trying to state that stainless will still get cross threaded and bent... Coming from my experience with the Prodigy V3...

I stated this before ... " I wanted a medical grade stainless steel GG full polished ( mirror finish ) with alittle bit of brass in the mix " but my idea or suggestion was shot down by because aluminum is a better conductor than stainless steel...

I agree, aluminum is a better conductor.

I just would like to see maybe a prototype GG in stainless and Imeo could test it out to see if it is really that big of a difference. Build it, try it, report back. If it isn't up to GG standards, toss the idea and we can move on. Other mod manufacturers are getting great reviews on their stainless steel models and no one is whining that it doesn't conduct electricity well, or that they get a better vape on some other device. We'll never know "for sure" unless it is actually made and tested to see how it performs.

nickel on brass cant tarnish byGG and nickel cant go off the brass. Brass is the best material for this proccedure. E.g. aluminium is coated with brass first and then nickel.

When you say allergic reactions you mean by brass or by nickel?

Steel is a bad idea because its a bad contuctor buddy. But brass is also very strong material. Brass is mixed with aluminium to make the alloy very hard. The soft material is the copper.

We cant make thinner threads or walls with steel guys. Imagine that in a 18mm hole we will make 19mm threads with any material and 20 external diameter. Anything less is very dangerous.

If we want to make thinner walls they have to be in a very short length, like 2 mm only or less.

Making a GG with AVS from steel, it would be really heavy boom. As for the contactivity, people cant see it, as they cant see the difference in the life of the battery with an LR atty. The second is more than obvious but they still cant see it even if battery lasts the half of the time.:)

So, what's up with the Golden Drop?

Is that prototype I saw solid brass or layered? I like stainless and feel that the resistance of the metal (over a short distance) may be compensated for by the lack of aluminum oxide building up on connection points. However, solid brass with no coating at all is a fine metal. Even if it gets a few scratches it still looks good. Even tarnished brass looks classy. The Golden Drop I saw looked like an old telescope. Solid brass would also make for more durable threading than layers of brass and nickel on an aluminum base. Likewise, as I remember it nickel is not a great conductor for contact points and brass is one of the better ones, thanks to the copper.
