Gift Certificates

Rob, as you know, I was at my daughter's home for 3 days. She asked me what I wanted for Christmas. I told her a Gift Certificate for Good Prophets. How does that work?

Is it delivered via email or a print copy?
How is it redeemed?

These are the only two questions she asked me, and I told her I have no idea.
I know it won't be a large one as the medical bills have accumulated with the co-pays, but I welcome them anyway. I am trying to get her to transfer from analogs to e-cigs. It is like pulling teeth. I didn't have my 808 adapters yet so she has just been trying on my 510 box mod...........I know once she tries the 808 PT, she will be in love (she only smokes at the computer).

It can work many different ways.

I can send a coupon code via email to use asap.
Also, can send a printed gift card.

Can also send a Visa credit card for the amount to use anywhere, but
this method may have a week+ delay from the holiday season.

She has young kids..........both her and her husband have their own computer downstairs. When they need a hit, they go downstairs. Now in the summer, that is different....they can go outside but here in Michigan, the winters are too cold. I think it is like 10 degrees here right now and snowing.

I had her try the 510....she hated it...so gonna have her try the Vaporite808....after trying the 808, I am finding the 510 harsh hitting also......I still get a throat hit with the 808 but it is a smooth throat hit...it's hard to explain.

Yeah, it is a different throat hit.
For some reason, I was never a fan of the 510.

After using the 808, I kinda like that warm, but blunt throat hit that it gives.
(if that is what you want to call it?)

This is probably a dumb question, but I've never had a 510 pass through and I know zilch about electronics.

Since these have a battery box, does that make the part that looks like the 510 battery really just something the atomizer screws onto? If that's right, then is the manual button the only thing that would wear out that couldn't be replaced?

You've got them on sale for a great price, and I'd like to order one, but I've been waiting for you to get the adaptors in that lets a 510 battery be used with a cartomizer before I placed an order. If I ordered a PT now, could you hold it until those come in and ship them together?

One more thing - I haven't had great luck refilling cartomizers so far. I've tried refilling both ways - by removing the white end on the mouthpiece and refilling and also by dripping through the battery end, but they really don't seem to last very long the second time around. Does the syringe for cartos help more than a regular syringe would?

jm, I have a 510 PT with an 808 adapter from Rob. I absolutely love it. I have had it four 4 months now with no issues. The only issue I ever had was that it was a 510 and that danged harsh throat hit. Now, it is one of the best things I have. I can carry it with me whenever I go room to room as I have a 1amp usb/wall charger....some say a 1/2amp would work but I got the 1amp anyway.

As far as the longetivity of the parts. In my opinion, they are not a forever item. Who knows how long the switch is going to last? Who knows how long the wires are going to stay connected? Who knows how long the battery is going to last? These are all things that could wear out over time but I think you would get your 10 bucks out of it. The battery is replaceable.

I like it because it is basically an 808, I don't need to charge the battery, the carts last a long longer than those crappy 510 carts that I tried every cart mod on. As for refilling, 18 drops no more...keep turning it as you are filling. Now I can get 25 drops in mine by using Taryn's windmill method. Advance search for Taryn in the vapor4life forum and you can find out about it. I use a small plastic pill pouch with a zip lock (can buy at the pharmacy), put the cart in after you have filled the 18 drops, making sure your .... plug is on, condom on the mouthpiece, battery side down........then I attach it to my husband's old work lanyard with a clip on the end, and twirl it circular for about 15-30 seconds.......then I take it out and add 7 more drops. I have had no problems doing it that way and no flooding.

I am anxious to try the cartos on a 510 - I have a bunch of 510 batteries that I would like to be using, so hopefully I'll be able to soon.

I agree about the 510 carts...sticky mess all the time, no matter which mod I tried - ugh. I do think that if someone would design a larger cart -not a mod but an actual cart that was bigger - it might make the 510 more workable, but nothing is going to make it out do the cartomizers.

I'm going to have to work on those refill skills I guess. The Taryn method is a stroke of genius.

I just realized that I posted this where I did - under gift certificates so I am going to repost it in the main forum and blame it on another in a long series of blonde moments.
