Dr. Ross senses our anxiety, and attempts to cheer us up. He mentions the Rep. Tom Cole sponsored bill, and also this:
There is still time, and hope, that OMB will perceive the anti-business, anti-public health nature of the FDA’s proposed regulation, and either remove the most heinous parts or simply eviscerate it and tell them to try again, this time with public health, not their own petty agenda, in mind.

I really hope Dr Ross is correct and some good rises from the Washington Scum. Sad to say that my faith, in our 'Elected Leaders' to do anything more than what we've seen for many years now, is very weak. Possibly the performance of the 'business as usual crowd' running for office will be washed away during the primaries and put the Fear Of God into this worthless Washington scum.

I'm still holding onto my hope. I'm also stocking up on supplies...
Ditto for me. tobacco money is huge. It won't disappear without some pain. But it's governments who are the big losers. The tobacco companies can move on to other opportunities, like ecigs. The article mentions the bill to change the date for deeming now has 48 congressmen supporting. That's new news to me and nice to hear.

I too have some nic in the freezer. There's more to it than vape security. My current liquid tastes fine but the percent of flavor is so low bystanders don't notice a smell and I don't reek if it gets in my clothing. All I care about is throat hit so next I'll try to reduce the visibility of the vaper. Or heres' a thought, how about vapor that is only visible if you're wearing glasses with a certain tint, then you get the satisfaction of seeing it but everybody else is oblivious. Hmmm...

Good find, nicnik!

A current theme in some of my posts lately .... :- )

Mr. Ross:

"The FDA proposed a regulation of e-cigs called the “deeming regulations,” which would place these near-harmless products under the same regulatory umbrella as tobacco cigarettes, and thereby make 99 percent of them essentially unmarketable due to the expense of proving them safer than cigarettes — a fact which is obvious to anyone who has passed elementary chemistry."

And this is encouraging in one sense....

"The Cole Amendment, which THR devotees thought went down with the budget amendment’s failure to include it, is in fact very much alive. It would merely delay the effective date of “substantial equivalence” for vapor products to the date that the regulations are implemented — if they ever are. There are now at least 48 other Congressmen (all Republicans, for some reason) supporting the bill."

"All Republicans?" Not one Democrat? sigh.... (I know the reason*, Gil :- )

*The reason - Cruz on regulation.... I put it in "plain" (unlinked) format, so anyone interested can copy and paste - those not interested don't have to watch....
