the sweet and minty flavors are what finally hooked my gf. she doesn't like my tobacco undertone ones, or the coffee ones. but spearmint, peppermint, anything minty or sweet and she will try. the first few days she's always wanting analogs tho, not that she's not getting the nic she used to have, but she missed the actual cigs. we did however manager to stay off the stinkies completely for the last month. good flavor is the key! don't give up.

I'm willing to bet that her first experience smoking cigarettes was quite the same...lots of coughing, wincing, and wondering why the heck she wanted anything to do with it.

The truth is, who knows why any of us started? But we did...and just like her, for whatever reason we toughed through it. We persevered, to finally gain a tolerance for something that tasted horribly bad, that we forced ourselves to proclaim an enjoyment for, and that we knew was terrible for our health.

You might remind her that the reasons to stick with this far outweigh (in importance) her reasons for being so tenacious regarding becoming a smoker. Not liking it from jump is irrelevant. There are a myriad of devices, accessories, and juices that might end up delighting her well beyond the point that a cigarette ever did.

She owes it to herself to try again...and again...and again...
This is good information and good suggestions, too.

I started on all pg e-liquid on little 808 batteries and coughed quit a bit for the first few days. People here offered advice that the coughing was common and that my body was adjusting from smoking to vapor. Perhaps this is true.

I'd recommend a balanced pg/vg ratio juice, or one with more vg. Some people do have a sensitivity to pg, and it does have a stronger throat hit than an all vg juice.

A higher resistance atomizer (2.5 or 3.0 ohm) will provide for a cooler vape, as well as a single cartomizer if you are currently using a dual coil carto.

Have her take smaller or shorter inhales into the mouth, hold, and then inhale. The nicotine in vapor is absorbed primarily in the mouth and throat, little in the lungs, so one need not even inhale at all into the lungs to get the nicotine from vapor.

If she is a menthol smoker, have her try an ice menthol flavor. If she is a non-menthol smoker, she may want to stay away from the tobacco flavors, as there really are none that will come close to the taste of a cigarette.

To help "taste" the e-juice flavor, have her exhale through the nose. Our sense of taste is closely related to our sense of smell. You can understand this if you recall how food tastes bland when we can not breathe through our nose when we have a cold or stuffed up nose. Exhaling vapor through the nose helps us taste our flavors.

Get a provari..
it's the be all end all ultimate vaping experience
Seriously though, I think some juices are more likely to cause coughing than others.some Dekang juices,i for example, takes my breath away, and I've had other brands with same pg/vg ratio that are smooth as silk.
There's definitely something out there for everyone.
