DO NOT use these boards, they are 100% junk. China dna clone boards are absolute garbage. If you are going to bother to do this, use a genuine board.

Yeah I am ordering the actual evolv chipset. Why not do it right if your gonna do it. Having trouble getting the 510 connector out of this thing. Is it pressed in?

Yes if it is the Clouper, but there are several manufactures so I can't be sure.
However the amount of glue would suggest another company, yet they put that much glue in I doubt they would do anything but press fit thee 510.

Those boards are absolutely junk. It's not cheap when you realize you are wasting your time putting in trash. China's DNA clones are flat out garbage. They were not made to be good boards, only to appear as though they were DNAs as quickly and cheaply as possible.
They perform poorly when they are operating, and burn out and/or melt down WAY too often. I have no idea why people are not up in arms about these units; Grooves had a tiny number of failures compared to this and they were completely recalled.

You may have to drill out the hole on top to make it fit, not sure.

Actually did think about LIPO's but wasn't sure about the level of skill needed for that box modification and/or soldering skills.
Jmarca, on the 510 connector, I am assuming you mean this one right? Is it sealed?
I agree with crxess. Chill out. They're not "garbage." I've read very few owners who have had problems. Most of the time it was due to a backwards battery. You can not like clones all you want but when someone makes a suggestion, don't go on some crazy tirade against clones.
Yeah, that's what I read on reddit where someone was doing somethiing similar to what's being done here.
I've never tried it myself that's why I said you may have to drill it out but everyone who's used those 510 connectors has good things to say about them.
Yeah Tinnerman that's the one, let us know how it works out. You shouldn't have a problem with anything leaking and they come with o-rings as well.

Entire devices have been recalled for less. Bad design is bad design.
Ordered some Hammond box samples and another box company sample so I may not use the original box. Depends on what those look like when they come in. Also have hook up wire samples coming along with tactile switch samples.
