In the last three days a small fault somewhere in one of my pieces of hardware has killed my Chi-you (didn't know mechs could die, but I've replaced every part except the tube, and the physical bottom button), my nitecore i4 charger, my cheapy travel charger, 4 efest v2 2000 mah batteries, and my Omega RBA. I am beyond frustrated, almost $500 irrecoverably gone. The batteries all read as charged and normal(4.16v), but will not fire ANYTHING. The cheap charger just does nothing at all now, and the nitecore i4 reads every battery it sees as upsidedown. Last, no matter what I do with the coils nothing will fire the Omega mech or vv.

Sorry for venting. I love vaping I just can't justify putting any more money into mech mods.

Yes and no. I've been seriously vaping (no cigs) only since April. But have had a few mechs with drip coils for about a year. I've always bought clones and lower end stuff. One I made the no analog jump I got all real nice hardware. In three months it has all failed. I love my iTaste MVP 2.0 and Nautilus tank. That and egos got me off analogs, the mechs were always just for fun. It's just time to put them down for a few weeks I guess.

I can't believe "everything" is a total loss. Take a few weeks break and enjoy your MVP and nautillus. I have both, and they are a great vape.

Once you have recovered from your "epic fail" you can start, little by little, assessing the damage. Thoroughly clean the Omega. Look for any problems with a magnifying glass. Then build a coil that your MVP can fire and see how things go.

Step by step. Attention to detail. Further education. You may be surprised that things are not as bad as you think they are.:)

Not trying to be insulting but if everything is failing it may be something you are doing and not the equipment.

you are either brutally rough on your gear or not understanding exactly what you should be doing to maintain your equipment,
no matter if its a 5 dollar or 500 dollar mod there are basic steps that need to be taken to ensure performance. i have 20 dollar mods years old at this point and they dont "just fail". could be as simple as a dropped/melted spring in the button or the center pin on the atty not making contact.

I have used all of my tanks as a topper. I've sat down with all of my vaping friends, and been to both local B&M's. Honestly I think the trouble I had with the Chi-you before the failure has to do with one of my chargers going bad, and ruining the batteries. I'm gonna dig out my nemesis clone and my accessories for it, I'll keep you updated after more experimentation.

So... you got's all that mechanically stuff. Got a meter so we can try to figure out what's going on? Forget the mech, put the batteries aside... One of the first readings I would be taking is what voltage are you getting off the Nitecore terminals with no battery in place. Some times when a Nitecore fails it can throw insanely high voltages at the batteries, killing them off in short order.

Try a new pair of batteries, it seems like you've overdrained them which make them not be able to charge again.
Also as for the coils not firing on your vv batts might be because you've built them to low ohm. Regulated mods and such rarely fire anything under 1.2 ohms. And if its just a regular vv ego style battery it can't handle less than 1.5 ohms.

Do you have a multimeter/ohm reader to see what your ohms is? To check for if the coil is shorted out? This might also be the reason your mod is "failing" you're trying to fire a shorted coil. (which is dangerous)

Also if you got a multimeter check your batteries condition. You say the charger reads them as 4.16? And they're not even charing in nitecore, it seems like the battery is toasted.

This realy indicates either short of your build or using to low ohms for the regular VV.

Quick update, I believe the culprit is the nitecore charger. It will not charge any batteries, and may be killing them. I'm not sure how as all multimeter readings indicate no issues.

My 18350 batteries are all fine. I use a different charger with them, and the nitecore still has issues with them as well. Any 18650 that's been in the nitecore will no longer fire anything.

That might be it! :)
However you should check your atty aswell since you don't get it to work on your vv. Or is your VV using the same batteries?
Either it's shorted out, or it has to low ohms for a regulated mod to fire.

No shorts, it may not be the omegas fault. I did not know that about VV's and I currently have it at 0.68 ohms. As for other mechs I've tried it on they're all clones without floating pins, so it doesn't screw on flush. That reason alone is why I got the chi you to start with.

I'll paraphrase Baditude, "You can cheap out on mods, but you shouldn't cheap out on quality batteries and chargers."

Glad you were able to find out the demise of quitting. Now get back on that saddle and vape like there's no tomorrow or until one of your 3 children will ask if they're not on timeout anymore.

check your 510 connector..i had this happen once and it just so happened that when i screwed a different rda on the 510 connector, it squashed it down...when i hit the fire button, everything got hot real quick...batteries were instantly drained and even after charging, wouldn't work (or so I thought)...a few days later, a guy at the local vape shop grabbed a pick and unstuck my 510 connector and everything started working again...
