Doing some research, well, doing a LOT of research actually, and ran across a company claim that for handling juice that glass is better than plastic. I know from a lifetime of cola consumption that the fastest way to make cola go flat is to pour it into a plastic cup, and that the best way to drink cola is from a glass bottle as, to me, it tastes best in glass having never touched plastic or poured out of the bottle into a cup. So, is it realistic to expect that handling juice in glass only will actually make a difference? And that leads into the question of glass dual coil tanks over plastic ones, is there REALLY a difference? Here is the quote from the website in topic ...

American Made E-Juice | Why is Mountain Oak Vapors the best E-Liquid for your E-Cigarette device -- Find out! 100% Made in the USA

"Another reason we believe our E-Liquid is set a part from the rest is the use of quality glass containers. From our sample packs to our 30ML bottles, every time you order you will be receiving a GLASS bottle. Why is glass better? Just do some research for yourself to find out how Glycerin (the primary ingredient of any E-Liquid) can leach plastic. Are all plastics vulnerable? No. There are LDPE Chemical Grade plastics that are resistant to this leaching. Some vendors are wise enough to be using these, others are not! With glass, there is no mistake. The cost is higher, but the end result is a better, safer product. We spare no expense with our customer's safety. Bottled up class indeed, visually stunning and safe for use, you can't go wrong. All of our glass bottles also include glass droppers for safe & easy dispensing of our product."

Yep also BPA leaching from plastic bottles. I transfer ALL my DIY juice and flavored mixed juices to glass containers. We also have have concerns about the Clearos and the plastic tanks used with cartos. I'm thinking of getting a glass tank regardless of the price. As for Clearos I wash mine out every day- don't know if it helps though.

I have started avoiding plastics as much as possible, not just with vaping, but with everything. It's hard to know who uses cheap plastics, and I'm sure that leaching can be an issue with good plastics too. Since I have started sucking in toxins all day from the cigarettes I have decided to do my best to avoid all of them, when I can.

I do the same with all my juices as well . I think the flavor stays better in the glass containers , and I like the droppers instead the squeeze bottles .

A key point to Remember is the term “Plastic” refers to a Huge Family of Materials.

Some are Very Chemical Stable and Some Are Not. Some can be used to Package Foods and Some Can Not. Some will leach Tastes into the whatever they Hold and Some will Not. Some are just Plain Dangerous to be used for Consumable Items.

The problem I have is when I get a Plastic Bottle filled with an e-Liquid is Most of the Time I don’t know what type of Plastic the Bottle is Made out of?

Like the line from the Dustin Hoffman movie Marathon Man, I ask myself “Is it Safe?....”

Whereas Glass is also a Term to describe a Family of Materials. But the Entre family ( with the Exception of a Very Few type of Glass, ie Lead Crystal Glass) exhibit Outstanding Chemical Stability. It takes the guess work out of “Is it Safe” ?

I also like Glass because I can Reuse a Glass Bottle over and over again without Cross-Flavor Contamination.

Glass Bottle to me is a No-Brainer. My e-Liquids taste Better and I don’t need to be an Industrial Chemist to know if I should use a Plastic to store an e-Liquid or not.

@ zoiDman ,

I happened to speak with the scientist that works for the Nalgene company since I wanted the best plastic bottle for my bottom feeder Mods. He told me that even the Nalgene manufacture's Bottles will Etch and Leach do the the make up of our liquids, and Nalgene happens to be of the highest quality of plastic bottles I can find, just thught you may be interested in that ZoidMan.

I know you back the Glass ZoidMan :) and it does take out any guess work :)

Thanks for the Heads up mwa.

If you do a little research on Nalgene Plastic, which BTW is a Registered Trademark, I think that Nalgene was know to Leach BPA in the past. They have since changed mhere Manufacturing Process to Reduce/eliminate BPA leaching.

It's been a while since I looked for Plastic Bottles. Because as you mentioned, I like Glass. But as I recall HDPE I believe is supposed to be a Good Candidate when the Container must be Ductile.

Double check me on that and perhaps check out if there are any Chemical Grades of HDPE Plastics.

Not a pump but from RTSVapes:
"Well, the white bottles we use are "glossed" HDPE. Glossed means they are lightly seared by flame to reduce leaching. You can get 6 months frozen storage out of them with no noticeable leaching based on a test we did."
I still transfer it though to glass bottles.

Note the word ( Noticeable ) please,,, aren't many people that are going to look inside of that plastic Nic bottle filled with Nic. That's just a dumb ... statement RTS made in my opinion = what test did they do ? A real Lab test would show quite differently !!! The reason Nic suppliers are shipping in plastic is very simple = Breakage scares them to death,,,

What I would like to see, which could satisfy both sides of this discussion, is vendors who give the Option, at a slightly increase price, for buyer to choose their container type.

If a Reatailer gave me the option to buy their e-Liquid in a 15ml Screw Lid Glass Bottle that also included a Eye Dropper Top for 89 Cents more, I would do it all day long.

And if people wanted there e-Liquids in Plastic Bottles, they could go that route.

Seems like EVERYONE wins when there are More Choices.

I agree that the industry should be moving towards safer alternatives KNOWING that there are issues with plastics. After all didn't we all quit smoking to avoid ingestion of harmful chems?
Overall I'm not frightened by short term leaching BUT long term a completely diff story.

Even now with clearomizers there's the fear of the wicking material. I would gladly pay extra for cotton wicking. I rebuilt a clearo with cotton wicking and although a pain the vape was great. Maybe will start rewicking my own with the cotton.

EXACTLY ZoidMan,,, the cost difference of a 15-30ml Glass Bottle vs Plastic is a minimum, a very small Minimum at that. Its of my opinion that many just dont want to deal with Glass and plastic makes there life more simple, but then again we know the vendors that are using Glass are doing it for a reason, I'm sticking with them myself.

I also happen to prefer glass bottles over plastic, and even if you want to discard the possible safety issues being as they are under debate between people. I also look at the fact sometimes my hands aren't as steady as I would like with a plastic bottle if you squeeze it a bit too hard, you have a big mess. With a glass bottle and the eye dropper if that happens I don't lose a whole bottle of juice to my keyboard. I also don't have to worry if I toss one into a bag will it get squished and break or leak.
