Surprised Dean you got no responses. This was a bit of a conundrum for me when I first started. All I seemed to find where lab/medical supply houses and the prices beyond the means of most. And you quickly find out just how fast the gradiations wear off disposables. Useless. Even more useless that they're offered by vape vendors. Disingenuous, I think, as what folks really need is is pretty available. Right up there with $5 mod screws.

The public can buy directly from Grainger, an industrial supply house and they offer a variety of scientific grade borosilicate (Pyrex) Leur lock and slip syringes in the $9-$12 price range. Their a German product under the Fortuna® Optima® trademarks, possibly manufactured in China. Here's the ISO spec:

The common 2 and 3 mm varieties are are perfectly suitable for filling up carts, etc. and modest home recipe measurement. I mix small batches including raw nic juice so use sharps and protected caps to prevent spills. You need a good quality syringe. Forget the disposables.

Good luck all!

I've been using this type of syringe for 2.5 yrs and never had a problem with numbers rubbing off. It has a clear sleeve that covers up the numbers. BD Safety-Lok 3ml syringe. Not sure if you can buy syringes in your state but if you can, go to your pharmacist and he can get them for you. I believe I paid about $.25@ for mine and I still have the original 12 syringes I started out with 2.5 years ago. Just keep in mind if you have a plastic syringe and you drop it, it will not break.....not so, for glass. Good Luck!

Not the precision in my experience. But then again I could find no such animal as a good quality plastic Leur through any pharmacy locally. Not offered, not available. Maybe it's all those nurses I used to hang out with. I just prefer 'em. ;)

Seriously though I'm sure others have run into this problem and it beats antiques on ebay. Well, unless you're into that sorta thing. Oh, and by the by, I've got a dozen vendor disposables with the gradations worn off. They must do things different up in your neck of the woods.

:)
