Afternoon treefam! I spent the morning on the phone/ computer chat with Comcast. I went to pay my bill this morning and my promotion had run out they jacked my bill up to $160 a month for just cable and internet. I called and told them to cancel everything and they gave me a deal for home phone, cable plus HBO and Showtime, and faster internet for $115 a month. I hate comcast but I took the deal. Then after all that, the stupid phone didn't activate so I had to chat with online support for 30 mins while they tried to get it all worked out. Finally got it done and I'm good to go for another 2 years.

Ice is still on the ground and schools are still closed. It's warmed up to 31 today. I'm sick of ice, my yard is covered in it.

I went to the school this morning to deliver the videos for tomorrow's presentation. They looked at me in confusion: the assembly is next week, they said. It would have been nice had the told those of us working on it--the last email I have from them states, "Due to scheduling conflicts, the new assembly date is not until Thursday Feb. 19th. " Thanks! :glare:

One of the true costs of rural life is the unbelievable price of staying connected. My extended family has 5 smartphones and 2 (+2) tablets on a 30 gig shared data plan... we're paying around $325 for that. Ouch, but it's really the only game in town as we don't have Sprint or Cricket or T-Mobile available in our area.

Meanwhile, my home phone just dropped to $75. That's for basic residential service with no long distance and 6 MBps DSL (which typically runs around 3-4 MBps). No cable, no sattelite. Netflix and Amazon Prime...

Rachel I wasn't up early to see any issues with ECF this morning so I don't know about that....but I know it happens sometimes........

Sorry Count, at least your project is complete! ;)

Headed to the office for 3hrs, then driving 1hr for a 2hr meeting. I'll have a 1hr dinner break before the meeting and a 1hr drive home. All in a days work.

:tumble:

ETA: Oh yeah, and 1hr to get to my office.

3. Robin, yay for 4 months smoke free! :thumb:

Bella, hope the ice clears soon and it warms up for you...I'm glad it's just cold here...me and ice do not get along!

Still not feeling good, but so far it hasn't progressed any worse...sore throat is still there and I feel generally exhausted and blah and have no appetite, but hoping it doesn't develop into worse. So far I can still vape, as long as I don't choose anything too harsh, so that's a good thing.

The irony here is that these projects are for student assemblies on the three "values" they encourage the kids to uphold: Respect, Responsibility, and Kindness. My volunteer partner and I have seen little of each of the first two...

Happy anniversary Robin!

Ugh, high tomorrow is 24 with rain and flurries Friday and then Saturday it might go up to the 50's. I hope so, I'd like to leave the house and get some shopping done this week. I'm sick of cold and ice and being stuck in the house.

Cooking baked lemon pepper chicken breasts and mac and cheese for dinner tonight. It needs to hurry up and get done, I'm starving.
