I got the fabreeze in my bedroom now...sure hope it works. It is too much fun
vaping inside sure don't want to have to go outside to
vape because of the smell.
Does everyone just vape in one room or do you vape wherever?
Hope that works. Baking Soda also absorbs odors.
We vape anywhere. I have been asked not to vape in the bedroom after we've gone to bed. The crackling sucking sound keeps my wife awake. She'll ask me to back off if what I'm vaping has a perfumey scent. We really don't have any tobacco flavor in the house anymore...
---- ---- ----
I have become a believer and staunch advocate of vaping. I joined CASAA. I've been writing my representatives. I've been evangelizing to other people, especially smokers that have expressed an interest in quitting.
That whole paragraph was in preface to this:
BLARGLEFARGLESLOTERBUDGNOYSTROUS!!!!
I read two articles tonight - one from Washington, and one from California - that make wholly ridiculous claims such as:
There are smoking cessation products currently available that work better than vaping.
Vaping is a gateway to smoking.
Vaping is more dangerous than smoking.
Vaping batteries are poisonous if swallowed.
Vaping equipment is also used for drug abuse.
Seriously? Seriously! Flashlight batteries, are, of course, perfectly safe to eat.
Drug paraphernalia? If so, then they must also ban rolling papers, regular cigarettes (which can be dipped or cored and refilled), and empty aluminium cans (ask me how I know). Spoons and lighters must also be eliminated.
And the multiple studies that have debunked - over and over again - the "gateway" and "as dangerous as or more dangerous than cigarettes" theories are nowhere to be found and are not in any way referenced. In fact, another recent study I read proved in a laboratory setting that e-cigarettes were as dangerous as "room air."
Now, I'm not against regulation. I think juices containing nicotine should have childproof seals or caps and warning labels. I feel like there should be more documentation for people first buying e-cigarette kits and juice. Walmart, by selling Haus by Mistic (my first kit, by the way), is a big offender here as Haus liquids are ONLY available in 24mg/ml concentration. The typical consumer just does not know - without quite a bit of additional research - what the options are.
Vapers need to take a bit of the blame for the situation as it is. I have done the research and now I know, but when first entering into the vaping community the plethora of lingo and acronyms is absolutely daunting. Attaching an RDA built to 1.2 Ohm to my 20 watt IPV while using 0mg doing MTL hits at 4.7 volts... what? Did you put a condom on your dripper before letting them taste your juice? Huh?
And the juices? Of course we, as vapers, want good tasting stuff, and I desperately want juice names I can understand, but do we really need colorful labels and names like Space Rocks and Kaptain Krunch?
Well, I seem to have rambled on, and for that I apologize... I hope this gives some basis for conversation.
