Good morning Tree People! The extravaganza of guessing who won the 10m contest has begun. Someone already posted a thread claiming that THEY won, but I thought they were announcing it on October 1st, so I doubt the legitimacy of their claim. Anyway....

I was suckered into reading some of that thread. I noticed the OP is one of those with a huge PV collection avatar and very lengthy and pricey signature. He's an OK ECF member (I heard he does PIF) but if anyone has absolutely no need at all for $600 in vendor gift certificates, he's in the running. BTW, I don't need it either even though my "collection" is very small in comparison. To each their own!

Here's an article I wrote about Doc Dave threatening people that buy Chinese clones of his Steam Turbine atomizer. It's part of a disturbing trend with mod/atomizer designers and I'd like to bring attention to it. In the past Rip Trippers threatened legal action against consumers organizing clones of his AC9 and Style of Mojo posted a spreadsheet of people that purchased clones of his Chi You.

I totally understand why these guys are frustrated. They worked hard on creating unique products. However, I do not understand why they're attacking consumers. It makes no sense to me. It doesn't address the much larger problem and it's horrible PR. In some cases, people were never going to buy the original because of price. In other cases, it turns off potential customers. I really don't understand the thinking behind antagonizing consumers.

I woke up late this morning because my alarm got messed up, but my daughter still made the bus, sans shower unfortunately. When I walked out of my house, there was a fire truck and ambulance at my neighbor's house. Wonder if they're alright? At least the ambulance left with lights on instead of off. Lights off is generally not a good sign.

My sister is an emt, lights off could just mean that the person is very stable but still needs to go to the hospital or there isnt any serious emergeny
